Sunrise Surprise

There was another spectacular sunrise this morning. I grabbed my camera from my bedside and began to snap away. I didn't even bother getting out of bed. The entire day has been picture perfect, as well. Teré and Miguel are visiting from Sevilla; sunshine follows them wherever they go. San Geraldo and I are getting ready to visit The Dowager Duchess and The Kid Brother in New York. We begin our trip Tuesday with a high-speed train ride (our first) to Madrid. But getting back to this morning's sunrise. While I was taking pictures, something shocking popped into view. Click on any of the scenery photos to see the sunrise in all its glory. Scroll to the bottom to see the added surprise that greeted me this morning.

He slept with me the entire night. You'd think that would have been enough.

  2. I believe the caption to that is, "If you're awake enough to see this, then you're awake enough to get up and feed me!

That or "What could you possibly be looking at out there when I'm right here?"

I'm amazed every morning. It was a great visit with Teré and Miguel. Much too short. I'll have to share a sunrise over the Atlantic this week.

  5. Dudo looks like he's reading your post and doesn't like the part about you going to New York one bit!

I'm happy for you to have such beautiful sunrises from your very own bedroom, and happy that your Seville friends visited :)

Teré and Miguel were here and we had, as always, a sweet time with them. Can't wait to see them again. Meanwhile, Dudo and I continue to watch the sunrises together.

That would be Dudo! We never made it to Rockefeller Center this trip. Maybe next time.

Oh, I could snap away every morning... except the last few when the jet lag has won out and I simply look. I used to need to sleep with the blinds/curtains completely drawn. Since moving here, I don't want to miss a moment of the night sky or the sunrise. Always open!

  10. If I'm not awake when Blackso wants his breakfast (while it's still dark, of course) he wakes me by gently pressing his cold wet nose against my eyelid, while usually purring loud enough to wake me up on its own. That in-your-face pic of your D or M (whichever one that is) leads me to think that he might employ a similar tactic.

That in-my-face shot is Dudo (and it's always Dudo). He and Moose are good about not waking me up. But they wouldn't because I do the afternoon feeding. Some mornings they really drive San Geraldo crazy.
