Sunrise, Sunset (And Vice Versa)

Sunset over Fuengirola Monday. These photos are unenhanced and unretouched. What we saw is what you're seeing. So sorry there are so many. I culled and culled and thought I was pretty hot when I reduced to a mere 16 (8 sunset followed by 8 sunrise) from the original 85. (Click any image to see why I wanted to share everything with you.)

FROM THE BACK.
FROM THE FRONT... ETC.

Sunrise Tuesday.

TWO FROM THE BACK.

Thursday morning, we'll watch the sunrise over the Atlantic from the Dowager Duchess's windows. I'll be broadcasting from New York for a little while.

Was not a fun travel day, but flights were fine. Met some nice people along the way. And we made it here safely. Thanks!

  8. As a boy I adored sunsets; as an adult I like sunrises more. They are both marvelous times for a pause to think of the day and be gratitude of the gift of having another day.

  9. You know I favor sunrises but those sunsets do have a dramatic quality to them.

Some of the sunset are truly amazing. But, I have the camera sitting bedside so I don't miss a morning.

  10. These pics are worthy of framing and mounting on a living room wall. All that they lack is some swoony-violins music - or (better) bird-sounds of sundown serenades and day-greeting aubades.

If you haven't left for NY yet (though you probably have) I wish you 'EINE GUTE FAHRT!" We'll 'see' you at the other side.

Well, there was probably more than eine gute fart... Oh, there's an "h"... Never mind. The trip was not very pleasant (specifically security in the airports) but we made it on time and are happy to be here.

We may have had some saccharin accordion music downstairs during that sunset. I think he was playing "Strangers in the Night." Not the same as violins and bird-sounds.
