Spouting Off

Don't let the title of this blog post fool you. I will not really be spouting off about anything. Especially not about all the tourists that have descended on the Costa del Sol for the month of August. Serenity is gone and won't be back in any form until early September.

OK, I suppose I just spouted off a little... Oh woe is me; I live on the beach in a resort town.

August is summer holiday for many people in Spain. So, lots more crowds, kids, noise, and recreation. I must admit that some if it is very entertaining (click here to learn about — but not SEE — the half-naked male Brazilian dancers).

I was out on the terrace Friday afternoon and took in the latest local activity. Don't miss the video at the end. (Click any image to spout off big time... and check out that hose.)

I apologize for the sound of motos (motor scooters), and everything else. Fortunately, it's not always that noisy around here.

I know what you mean. I never saw George Jetson do a nose dive.

It really was surprising at first glance and definitely made me think of Dick Tracy.

Do you suppose all those crash-landings on his head knocked any sense into him?

  5. Reality has caught up with James Bond-ish fantasy! (Though with a little more practice he should get there.)

  6. I just saw a picture of Little Justin Bieber doing that and so hoped it would malfunction and send his tired ass into orbit ... permanently.

  9. I would be the one in the water who could NEVER get up and running. It took me an entire Summer to learn to water ski. No kidding. I really am that klutzy.

But I admire your guts (and fortitude). I never even TRIED to get up on water skis!

  10. Where do people come up with these ideas?
The noise at the end of the video reminds me of my annoying neighbour's kid....enough said!

Ugh! So many screeching/whining kids and constantly yapping dogs. In most cases, it's nothing that couldn't be solved with a little attention and lessons in behavior. Makes me want to go out and slap the parents.
