Down On The Farm

I was out on the town Monday. San Geraldo and I went downstairs for morning coffee. He then went to Spanish class and I took a brief stroll on the paseo. An hour later, our dear friend Tere (who taught me about condoms nearly four years ago; click here) surprised us with a visit and I took another brief stroll. San Geraldo met us after class and we three went to Meson Salvador here in Los Boliches for a tapas lunch before Tere headed back up to Sevilla.

HAMBURGEUSITA.
A LITTLE "BOLSA" FILLED WITH SHRIMP AND ONION.
OF COURSE, OLIVES.
ENSALADILLA RUSA (AKA OLIVIER SALAD).
POPULAR IN ANDALUSIA AND THE BEST EVER AT MESON SALVADOR.
SOMETHING SWEET.
UNTIL NEXT TIME...

It felt great to be out and about, but I guess I overdid it. My bonbons (click here) and I spent most of the late afternoon and evening back in bed. Now, I don't know how San Geraldo is going to be able to keep me from "jazzin' around and paintin' the town."

How ya gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've seen Paree?"

MOOSE IS CONTENT TO LOUNGE WITH ME RIGHT HERE ON THE FARM.

  2. In the 1950's there was a hamburger joint in my hometown that sold tiny hamburgers just like the one you show... I think they cost 10c each. (they probably didn't have a slice of tomato. They were called Begorra Burgers.... That little bag of onions and shrimp sure looks good... But Moose is my favorite picture of the day... Isn't it nice to have such a lovely bed-buddy?

Faith and beggaroh! I had no idea they'd been around since the '50s! I thought the mini-burgers were a recent trend. I remember them showing up in bars and restaurants less than 10 years ago with the name "sliders."

  3. The tapas looks wonderful! It is good to 'gently' test yourself and then retreat to the 'farm', Mitchell.
Animals have a healing effect I feel......they can balance the energy.
The BEST medicine was probably seeing your friend, Tere. Sweet photo of you two.

You're so right about animals, and Tere is always good medicine. I can't believe how lucky we were to meet her in Sevilla.

Thanks! I wasn't thrilled with how I looked in that photo, but I decided it didn't matter!

  5. Glad you're feeling well enough to stroll a bit; even gladder you're resting your bonbons with Moose. The photos of you and San G with Tere made me, as Bay puts it, 'smile all over myself'.

And I have nothing to complain about either (although I do). I was barely out of commission at all!

  7. Now if you took a photo of that little burger next to your incision, I bet your incision would look 9 inches long! Sounds like a nice outing, but I bet it is also nice to have company down on the farm. Cheers.

      Hilarious. And so true.

I'm not good at lying around. The cats really REALLY help.

  8. Glad to see that you've recovered enough to be out on the town and living the good life. Don't overdue. There, I probably sound like the DD.

And you sound like San Geraldo, too. But I need those voices. I very easily forget.

  10. Oddly, I remember that song as 'after they've seen Marie'.
