The Breakfast of Champions

An important part of a healthy lifestyle...

FRIDAY MORNING:  YOGURT, SPECIAL K, AND SIX SERVINGS OF FRUIT.
[YES, TROPICAL FRUIT GUMS COUNT.]

Better than a soft-boiled cookie with a glass of cookie juice on the side...

  1. I have no room to talk as I'm getting ready to bake bruffins (brownie muffins) with walnuts and cherry jam. For the Great Scot of course.

I bet I can cook mine quicker than you can cook yours! (But yours sounds SO MUCH BETTER.)

Nuts would have been a great addition... but much too adult!

  5. I don't mind nuts or raisins in my cereal, but those things look a bit too sweet for morning fare.

I'm disappointed in you. Besides, they're FRUIT!

  6. Not being a sweet person (take THAT any way you want), the bran flakes looks good, but those sugar fruits just don't get it for me ;-)

  7. Looks good! But I would prefer to eat them separately, saving the gummy fruit for "dessert". I have a serious sweet tooth. I have been known to cook (gasp!) sugar until caramelizes and eat it straight up.

OK. I have to admit that I did eat them separately --- but I didn't save them for last. Oddly, I couldn't eat caramelized sugar straight up, but San Geraldo could!

  8. Hmmmm. All that healthy 'fruit' (as you term it) - let me see now: strawberry, raspberry, lime, lemon and TWO oranges?

But the purplish ones are grape. It's supposed to be a tropical fruit collection. There's not only orange, but also tangerine -- if you can tell the difference. I screwed up and didn't include the orange slice; what you see are two tangerines... I think.

I usually just get oh so practical oatmeal.

Oatmeal, although available, is not so easy to find around here. Also, I have to cook it... with heat and everything.

  10. In Quebec the breakfast of Champions would be accompanied by a beer.

      Truthfully... here, as well. I'm a non-conformist.
