It's Grumpy's Birthday

One of the other of the many names I have for San Geraldo is Gruñon. It means Grumpy.

"ANOTHER PICTURE? REALLY?!?"
A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER. STILL FEELING THE CHILL...
... AND SERIOUSLY GRUMPY.

San Geraldo is not always Gruñon. But, when he is, he does it with style and drama — as he does all things.

He also does everything with kindness, empathy, intelligence, love, and a warm and generous sense of humour.

So, here's wishing Grumpy — my muse, my inspiration, the butt of my jokes, and the love of my life — a joyous birthday.

He's the reason I'm Happy.

Interesting that Grumpy is the one playing the piano. Just like in real life.

  1. Awwww, happy birthday, San Geraldo! I hope you've felt special all day long :)

Mitchell, I've enjoyed your last two posts, about the Nao Victoria and those fabulously exotic fruits, too:) For some reason, whenever I'm on Firefox (which I have to be sometimes), blogs won't accept my comments. So, sometimes, I start a comment, and then realize that I'm in Firefox, and that there is no pointing in continuing the comment :)... and, then I forget to go back to the blog with Safari :) But, of course, I'm reading! And loving every post!

    1. Hi Judy:
So glad you've been enjoying the posts. I used to use Firefox even to create my posts, but had so many problems -- including the one you mentioned -- that I put it aside. I've been using mostly Safari on my new iMac. Thanks for sticking with me!

It was a very pleasant day and evening. He was SAN Geraldo all day. No Grumpy in sight.

Photoshopped? What Photoshopped? Oh, OK, but I honestly think Jerry looks more grumpy than Grumpy.

Maybe he keeps his head covered due to religious beliefs I know nothing about. Thanks for the birthday wishes!

  7. Hope Happy makes Grumpy happy! Especially since Grumpy makes Happy happy; it's only fair. And of course I wish Grumpy many Happy Returns.

Chrome is my favorite browser. I almost never encounter problems that are browser related with it. Safari makes me unhappy, and that just won't do.

I think Happy DOES make Grumpy Happy, too. I used to love Chrome, but I have constant problems with Google Blogspot and Chrome (not recognizing when I'm logged in), which is why I had to switch to Safari. Uf!

  15. Belated H.B. to S.G., notwithstanding the fact that in the photos above he looks like the type for which I'd walk by on the other side. But now that we know he's just putting on act I'm rather reassured. Wishing sincere M.H.R. to the great individual - and I hope he was careful when blowing out ALL the candles!

It's no act but, in person, he's never scary. Jessica put one tiny votive candle on top of his ice cream sundae. No smoke alarms were set off.

I considered photoshopping eyeglasses onto Disney's Grumpy but thought there would then be no telling them apart.
