Doctor My Eyes

Don't worry. The lased eye is doing fine. But take a look at what I spotted on the paseo last night. I'm not supposed to turn my head quickly, so I had to do a slow-motion double-take.

Sorry it's blurry; I must have focused with my left eye.

I thought this guy deserved a page all his own, even if he has put back my recovery by at least a week.

Was I unwise to leave them open for so long?

  1. Holy cow, I just don't get it! Is it a competition, down there?
I've always loved this song -- everything by Jackson Browne :)

I also love everything Jackson Browne (and always wanted a cool name like that). "Fancy Dress" parties are very popular in the UK; maybe there are constant parties here that we don't know about. However, not all these "fancy dressers" are British.

  2. I wonder are you talking about the bad hair dye job or the shorts? The shorts is a fashion statement, the hair however is an emergency call for the hairstylist.

The answer to your question is "Yes... and then some!" The interesting dye job had the added splash of a toupee (dyed the same way). Then the shorts, the shirt, the black socks.

      Maybe his luggage was lost.

I showed the photo to some friends that evening and at a glance they thought his shorts matched her skirt!

  4. I suggest that your optical experience has resulted in a mysterious new ability, that of looking through men's trousers and seeing what's underneath. Pity that it doesn't go one layer further - though, maybe not in this case.

If I'm now going to have X-ray vision, can't it at least be selective X-ray vision?!?

  5. I love the movement you got on her skirt - a visually pleasing effect. He looks like he forgot to put on his trousers or maybe he put shoes and socks on first and then thought "what the heck! No one will notice."

I can't take credit for the special effects, but I'm glad you like it. I had the same thought about him forgetting his trousers ("pants" in American).

If not, if I see him again I can ask him for a dozen pairs of underwear.

They are ALL OVER right now. I assume the "look" will die down in July and August when the town is filled with mostly Spaniards.
