Once Upon A Time / Érase Una Vez

ÉRASE UNA VEZ cuando no tenía ni idea de lo que estaba allí, todo lo que podía hacer era estar a salvo en la sombra de mi hermana y sonreír.

ONCE UPON A time, when I had no idea what was out there, all I could do was stand safely in the shadow of my sister, Dale, and smile.

  2. That is a sweet photo. Dale's outfit is adorable. You remind me very much of my little brother when he was that age, but absolutely no resemblance between the two of you as adults!

  3. What a great photo! You look just the same if I study your face in this photo. And your sister had a lovely smile.

Dale had a sparkle. I don't see me in these early photos, but so many people agree with you.

  4. Awwwwww, this is so sweet, Mitchell. (I'm smiling warmly, but I hesitate to put a smily symbol, because I know you hate them.)

Thanks for you thoughtfulness. I've mellowed on those smiley faces... well, maybe a little bit... well... no I haven't! But I don't have a problem with the emoticons. It's the traditional yellow smileys that make me a little (a lot) crazy.

Dale bossed me around. Once, she slapped me for saying "hell" (I was 12!!!). But, she was my protector from the rest of the world.

  6. AW!!! Nothing better than having a protector! My sister, Jo-Ann, was mine for many early years. What would we have done, Mitch?
Oh, by the way, LOVE those pants!!

I can't imagine my childhood without Dale. We were each other's protectors in different ways. Oh, those pants. I was obviously intended to grow into them, but I wonder how many YEARS they lasted!

  8. You both look so gorgeous! I can see such a resemblance between Dale and the Dowager Duchess there.

And I bet you still go out in trousers just like those too... 😆

We were adorable, weren't we?!? Yes, I have continued to buy trousers with excessive length... just in case I still grow.
