When he felt I was relaxed and natural, he snapped. 6 prints. The constant maintenance must be exhausting... but it keeps people employed and it keeps the tourists coming back. Now that we know how the temporary residency renewal works, the next one will be for permanent residency. But I won't think about that right now!Moving with Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12954028272162285597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2367834014770669778.post-46469120763328425722014-08-06T13:29:50.062+02:002014-08-06T13:29:50.062+02:00Bob:

An old friend of mine from high school told me his trick once. He was sick of "official photo takers" catching him unawares. So, he picked up the habit of standing in front of the screen with his head down. When the annoyed employee asked him to look up, he would look up with bright eyes and a winning smile. No more bad license/passport/etc. photos! The article mentioned that a truck comes every morning to try to push around and evenly distribute the pebbles, to flatten the slope (but, by afternoon it's steep again). Made me think of this beach Zamboni thing you've told us about here :) Ahhhh.... the struggles of the 1st world, eh?

(Hey, congrats to you and San Geraldo on two more approved years of residency-- and that great photo!)Seine Judeet (Judith)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07407353544376132484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2367834014770669778.post-63823146300221263942014-08-05T12:55:38.939+02:002014-08-05T12:55:38.939+02:00It a Zamboni for the beach!
