The body language of the one in the dark life vest sure looked like that. The other guy was trying to look cool, I think. Ride 'em, cowboy!

  2. I do feel like I'm about to drown sometimes, albeit not literally.

Same here. And not even at times I might expect to feel that way.

  3. Funny thing, balder half would love to do this. The man can't swim and our cruises make him nervous. I'm basically a fish but would never do this! I do value my neck (when I can find it).
Love, love, love The Manhattan Transfer!

It looks like a bit of fun. But not enough to make me risk MY neck either. I adore the Manhattan Transfer.

  4. I loved Manhattan Transfer back in the day. I wonder if they're still recording? Probably not, they'd all be geriatrics by now, I suppose.

The group still performs, although Tim Hauser died in 2014 and was replaced by Trist Curless. I haven't seen a recent performance. Oh, how I loved them. I saw them in NYC (I think at the Bottom Line in The Village... and I think it was 1975).

This at first looks like fun to me. But only at first. Fumes. Noise. Whiplash

  7. Would have done this in a flash back in the 70's and 80's! Looks like fun! It reminded me of my first time on water skis........I let go a lot!!
    Great photos as usual, Mitchell.

Jerry was a good water skier. I never even tried it. I'm braver now than I was in the '70s but I think I'm also a bit smarter.

I hate the noise, the fumes and pollution, and I'd be afraid of whiplash.

The colors here are unbelievable. (And I was having coffee when I first read your comment.)

  10. Desperately hanging onto what I know and enjoy, afraid of the adventure that is just a plunge away - sounds like life.
