She Used To Look Good To Me

Sirena means siren (or mermaid) in Spanish, and that's the name of our bit of beach. Ivo, our resident sand sculptor, has been creating a new collection of deities to replace the ones that were destroyed in the recent storm (click here; you'll also catch another glimpse of hunky Pablo Alborán). The first figure, although not yet complete, fits right in. (Click the images; they get bigger.)

LA SIRENA ON PLAYA LA SIRENA.
LURING SAILORS WITH HER CONCH SHELL MUSIC.
DUDO SAYS "HI."
MOOSE WAS IN THE SAME POSE ONE LEVEL DOWN. WHEN HE SAW THE CAMERA,
THIS IS WHAT HE DID. THE LITTLE SHIT. MOOSE DOES NOT SAY "HI."
THE SIREN CALLED ME TO THIS ROCK.
HER SONG IS SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE.

She's a powerful force...

Dudo says "hi." You already know about Moose.

  2. Plastic surgery for sand ladies is probably less invasive than on the flesh and blood types.

It's a lot cheaper, too. But it doesn't last as long.

You should see him when he looks exactly like Yoda. I regularly try to catch that expression but then his ears move.

Liked the video, Mitchell. Quite the 'mix'.

Moose is a sweetheart but he can be a real pill when it comes to photos.

  5. Simply Irresistible!!

Love it and some sort of creepy but giggling was perfect.

Dudo looks like the dancers, honestly!!

I hadn't thought about it, but Dudo regularly has the facial expression of one of Robert Palmer's original back-up dancers.

  6. If your camera has ultrasonic autofocus, the sound may hurt Moose's ears. I have a had a couple of cats that were annoyed by it, but my slightly deaf cat pays no attention. On the other hand, he might just be being a pill. Great video.

Ah, your comment has me smiling. Nope, no ultrasonic autofocus and nothing ultrasonic about MOOSE's focus. Yeah, he's just being a pill.

  7. How long would I have to be at sea, for the mermaid to be attractive?

My thinking is: A really LONG LONG time. Ivo, the sculptor, is a former Bulgarian professional wrestler. When he first arrived in town (around the same time we did, nearly three years ago), his physique, although thick, still displayed that pro-wrestler beefy muscle. As Ivo spreads so do his sculptures.

  8. Love the way Dudo's tail curves and is tucked in.

He's the cat of a thousand looks. He also wraps around both ankles, just one and tucked in. He can loop it to the right. Or the left. Whatever you'd like.

  9. Does he also sculpt Sirena's older sister, Vinus?

  10. The first person in the video... I just want to rip his lashes off and plaster them on my own eyes, lol.

Moose is merely exhibiting his catly prerogatives, Dudo is exhibiting his extreme handsomeness.

The Dowager Duchess didn't like the video much, finding it to be in bad taste -- having nothing to do with the cross-dressing, I'm happy to say. But she didn't even notice his eyelashes.

  11. I think Sirena's sister washed up on the beach here... think I saw her sun bathing yesterday.
