Judeet: That sure is. We gave the poster to our sister and brother-in-law before we came here. It was from an exhibit we saw in 1995 in Amsterdam called "The Frame as Art." It was amazing to see.
Jim: I do like my hair much better now when it's buzzed, so that's how keep it. For a couple of years I shaved my head completely but that was much more maintenance since I would do it every day. This is a once a week swipe with the trimmer.
You have certainly gone through a range of hairstyles!! :) I'm a fan of bald and balding men, though, I have to say. Just so long as no comb-overs are involved!!!
Made me smile... as much as the hair style, I love seeing the clothing styles over the year. There are advantages to having very short hair... It's 102 degrees as I write... too hot for much hair!
Kent: Those pants were so long, I probably wore them for the next 5 years. But did you catch the gingham shirt and the matching gingham cuffs on the jeans in 1958?

I can see by the pictures of you with the long hair that the sixties were good to you...I know, they were good to me too...lol

DeleteI think the '60s and '70s were good to me... but for some reason my memory is a bit fuzzy on that time period.
I think you look great now. So many of us just looked goofy with long hair back in the day.
ReplyDeleteStpehen:
DeleteEven if I still had a full head of hair, I'd probably shave it.
Hair today, gone to ---
ReplyDeleteI'll stop.
Lotsa hair or little hair, as Bette Midler would say, "You look GOOD!"
Bob:
DeleteThanks! (I also remember her one time saying, "Except for you, honey. You look like shit.")
Never mind the hair, is that a poster of Judith, by Klimt in the background, in 2009? :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, all of the photos are great! (What Bob said.)
Man oh man, that sunny, glistening water!

Hey bro!! 73 and 74 photos bring me back to that time when I had hair like yours!!
ReplyDeleteI want to 'buzz' mine off to next to nothing....yours looks good.

ReplyDeleteYou were a hairy beast back in the 7o's! Since it's no longer the style, that worked out quite well for you.
ReplyDeleteMs. Sparrow:
DeleteAnd I always had a very high hairline. I guess it was preparing me for the later years.
You look good, you don't need hair for that!
ReplyDeletePeter:
DeleteThanks and ditto.
The 70s photos are groovy !
ReplyDeleteSpo:
DeleteFar out man.
Hair ~~~ what's the big deal with hair ~~ I like bald myself!! I know Jim does!!

Ron:
DeleteInterestingly, I find bald really sexy... except on me!
I enjoyed the photographic tour of your life Mitchell. I think you look the best now (and I'm not just being kind)!
ReplyDeleteCraig:
DeleteYou're very kind. I'm kind of partial to the 1955 Shmohawk.
And a style icon even back in 56
