I'm still pushing the magnificent petals I see around town and on our terrace. San Geraldo intends to finish his planting/arranging today, so I'll soon show you the results. Meanwhile, the roses at the Roman ruins park continue to enchant and perfume.

MY GIN & TONIC AT MESON SALVADOR. WITH ORANGE BLOSSOM PETALS ... FOR FRAGRANCE.
Our friend Ann — aka Slushee (click here) — has been to the salon for another custom-color adventure. Her stylist, Juan, calls his latest creation Bird of Paradise (Ave del Paraiso). He was aiming for the bird, not the flower. Juan is also San Geraldo's stylist...
ANN, AFTER HER LATEST DIP IN THE SLUSHEE MACHINE.
A ROSE...
... IS A ROSE...
... IS A ROSE.
THAT'S ME IN A PAIR OF PEDAL PUSHERS (ALTHOUGH I CALLED THIS PAIR CLAM DIGGERS.)
I ALWAYS loved pedal pushers!....I mean clam diggers. Really like Ann's hair! My sister would as well. Haven't heard that tune in a while.....YEEHAW!!!!
Wilma: Funny you should ask. San Geraldo has been talking about doing something to his full head of silvery hair. But talking may be as far as it gets. I've been thinking of doing something fun to to whiskers below my bottom lip.
Michael: Sevilla and other places were suffering in recent days. We've had July-like weather (20sC/80sF). Nothing to complain about and now it's cooled off and is more like May/June weather. (I spent the afternoon on beach.)
Ron: And in most of the places we've been in Spain, when you order a gin and tonic, they bring the gin bottle to the table and pour until you say stop. I didn't know that the first time I had one in Sevilla. Whoa. That was potent!
I want to be surrounded by those roses, drinking up their perfumes while drinking up (and draining) that G & T, which would be only the first of three, or four, or.....
Raybeard: You don't need as many G&Ts here. I mentioned in a reply above that most places bring the bottle to the table and pour until you say "stop." Just don't say "stop."

Lovely petals and the hair is great. Wish I still had enough to go adventuring like that.

DeleteI constantly talk about what I'd do with it if I still had hair!

DeleteYep... and not nearly as cool.
Lovely to see the roses, we don't have any around here. Does SG have plans for a slushie dip?

I see it is sweltering in Spain. Hope you are staying calm and cool.

DeleteThat particular one was made with Bombay Sapphire... a lot of Bombay Sapphire.
What is it about Spanish flowers that is so glorious? Maybe it's the pristine Spanish light. See you in three weeks when I return from vacation.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteThe light is usually perfect for photos. But I'm partial to the idea that everything is just more glorious in Spain.
