The More Things Change

We're in Toledo for five days, loving the city and hating the rain. While I was out scouting locations Tuesday (I'm supposed to be tour guide but San Geraldo and Judyshannonstreetwhat have ideas of their own), it rained so hard that even my underwear was soaked.

I have a flood of pictures to share. But for now, there's just this from home...

We still haven't made the final touches to our apartment and we've got some gardening to do on our repaired, painted, and newly tiled terrace. But as you can see by these two photos, as far as Dudo is concerned, everything is as it was. He's still waiting for that little bird to fly back through the drain hole.

And a bird flew into the laundry room yesterday (and pooped against the wall!). So, now Dudo has another place to monitor.

  2. Quite the curious kitty. I love Toledo, especially the El Greco paintings. It isn't often one can see works of that quality in the place where the artist hung them.

The quality and variety of art all over the city was overwhelming. And you're right about seeing the El Grecos where they were intended. Incredible.

I had no idea how many Toledos there were in the United States! I'm also very happy we were in the one in Span.

  4. Well heck, I thought you were here in Ohio and wondered what the devil you'd be doing there. Kitties are like elephants.. they never forget... especially where the food came from.

Dudo is so predictable. He checks that drain each time he walks by.

  6. Our time in Madrid was pretty rainy too - you definitely live in the sunniest part of Spain!

It was some consolation to know it rained here at home all week, as well. Unusual.

  7. Too bad about the rain in Toledo. Looks like Dudo wants to make sure no little birdies clog up the drains at home in case you get torrential rain there too.

Yes, I'm sure Dudo is only thinking of clogged drains! The rain in Toledo did get to me a couple of afternoons, but for the most part we managed to enjoy the city. I'd love to go back.

    I like Dudo on Duty.

Please, no mice! It was a bird. But one flew into the laundry room yesterday (the outer wall is open bricks). It pooped on the wall and floor! Dudo has been spending a lot of time there waiting for him to return.
