After visiting with Sand Sculptor Paul Blane yesterday
(click here) and admiring his as-always brilliant work, I headed home and passed another sand sculptor along the way. His skill and artistry are not of the caliber of Paul Blane's
(but whose is???). He's the guy who created the "quirky" Spartacus, Helen of Troy, Mona Lisa, etc. (
here). But he can still be entertaining.

His latest work planted a song in my head...
Oh Connie! Where have you been?! In Mitchell's head, that's where! lol
ReplyDeleteLooks like that Cupid has some sand in his eye......
Oh yes....love the new header!
DeleteJim:
DeleteThanks, as always!
I started singing that song the minute I saw your blog posted.... That fellow may not be as good as Paul Blane, but he's pretty darn good... cute subject ;-) By the way, do you remember when you learned to wink? Little kids are so cute when they are learning... squinch up one eye... both eyes... their nose... their whole face... I love it!
ReplyDeleteSharon:
DeleteI don't remember how old I was, but I DO remember practicing and getting better at winking. Maybe I was 30?
That's a mischievous cupid if ever I saw one. This would make a cheeky Valentine's Day card.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteI just can't tell if that's a peculiar cloud he's sitting on or a pile of rocks.
What a funny sculpture. Nice as a gift.
ReplyDeleteGosia:
DeletePaul Blane (the incredibly talented sand sculptor) does hire out!
Certainly impressive!
ReplyDeletep.s. I love your new banner photo :)
DeleteJudy:
DeleteThis sculptor does give me things to talk about (and share). Thanks re the banner.
Connie Francis gives me the creeps for some reason.

DeleteI liked her songs. She had a very tragic life -- in later years especially. But, still, I don't think we shared the same political and social values.
