It's been kind of a tiresome week, what with the stupid drug withdrawal and everything. But all is going as expected and getting better. I even went to the gym today. San Geraldo was my inspiration, which is extremely ironic since he once told me years ago mid-workout that if he died in six months he was going to be so angry with me for wasting his time at the gym. But, he's a changed man... kind of.
I did manage to go for a couple of walks this past week. You might remember the recent post with bird 'foot' prints (click here). Here are some more images mostly for the birds.
(Click to bigger the photos.)
CORMORANTS (CORMORANES) ON THE ROCKS...
HEADING INTO PORT (EL PUERTO).
LA GAVIOTA LESBIANA?
"I know I can be strong when you're with me" (well, you, and my lesbian seagulls). In Spanish, Lesbian Seagull, would be Gaviota Lesbiana. Very lyrical.
Good to hear that things are turning around for you somewhat. Get back to that gym when you can and continue those walks when you can.....we find that moving around as much as possible does wonders......gets the blood flowing everywhere. Great photos of those birds. I really enjoy watching Cormorants and their 'drying skills'!! We are having a snow storm right now.....lasted all day till later tonight. Don't think I'll be seeing too many birds for a day or so. Take care.
Jim: The gym was great yesterday and, even better, it was deserted. So we could hog the cables for most of our workout. Your snowstorms are really beautiful but I must admit (as if you didn't already know), I really prefer seeing them from here.
I kind of feel the same way San Geraldo did about the gym - and yet we plan to go there tomorrow :) I have some extra padding that needs to go away. I bought hubby a fitbit for Christmas and now all I hear about are how many steps and how many calories things have in them. He wants to buy me one now :|
Cheapchick: Hope you made it to the gym. I love working out, was even a certified personal trainer for a while. But, lately it's been difficult for me to drag myself there (although once there I'm happy). Thankfully, Jerry has been motivated lately. I love the gadgets, but tend to obsess when I use those things and would drive Jerry crazy.
So glad to hear that your managing better because living life / having a good laugh / chocolate / iron pumping will help your blood and your emotional being (had to throw chocolate in there ;-) )!!
When I was a boy we spent holidays on Lake Michigan. I would see gulls and think them the most glorious of birds. I suppose I still do so. Good for you back at the gym. Most sensible of you.
I'm glad the concrete cloud is beginning to crumble my sweet, encouraging friend. Many thanks to San G for being YOUR encourager... and thanks to you for your tenacity and courage, you are my inspiration.
I'm always trying to identify the birds here... now I suppose I'll have to consider other factors. I did see a seagull with a tern the other day... don't know what that was all about....
Please visit www.movingwithmitchell.com if you would like to comment or stay up to date. I stopped posting here and reproduced all previous posts, as well, 25 September 2018. Thanks!!!
And the prize for the best blog title entry goes to you

DeleteJerry read the blog and asked me how I knew the seagull was lesbian.

DeleteI haven't had chocolate for at least two days. I'm seriously overdue!

DeleteI really should spend more time looking at the gulls. There are a number of different shapes and sizes here and mixed in are terns.
I hope you have turned the corner, Mitchell. Stay strong with your lesbian seagull.

DeleteHow could I go wrong when I'm surrounded by lesbian seagulls.

DeleteThanks. I was beginning (again) to bore myself!
I came for the lesbian seagulls. I stayed for the Jerry quotes. I'm wishing for continued improvement for you, Mitch.
ReplyDeleteMichelle:
DeleteJerry didn't watch the video. He asked me how I knew the gull was lesbian.
I have never considered the sexuality of seagulls. And that's probably a good thing.
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteI suppose you would really never have any need to.
Take care and support seagull
ReplyDeleteGosia:
DeleteI will on both counts!

DeleteWhat you saw was a mixed marriage. My grandmother didn't approve initially but times change.

ReplyDeleteI don't know whether you know about this or not, so...

DeleteI did know about that one even though I've never been a fan of Beavis and Butthead. How about Englebert Humperdink's rendition?
