Mix N[ot] Match

I'm beginning to like the 'look.'

I won't be sporting any of these combinations any time soon. But my attitude is changing.

I THINK THIS ONE WAS JUST TOO MUCH FOR MY CAMERA.

  1. Oh no! You're turning into 'THEM'!!! And it only took 5 years!! lol
This 'fashion style' appears to be popular.....are their wives/girlfriends similarly dressed, Mitch?

Well, I haven't gone out in public yet, but I really am starting to like some of these (OK, like maybe a half percent). And what makes you think all these guys are straight? I've seen some husbands/boyfriends similarly dressed! (And you should talk to Bob at "I Should Be Laughing." He might even appear on these pages some day... if he's lucky enough.)

  2. They've got attitude. I like it. Good luck to them.

Not all have attitude; some are completely clueless. I like the ones with attitude!

  3. I think a kilt might be the best wear in sunny climes or would that be going to far :-) ?

Well, I don't know about a WOOL kilt, but a multitude of tartans is fine.

  4. If some of these had been shorter I'd have assumed that they'd come out in their underpants.

Hmmm... Maybe you should be sharing some photos of YOUR underpants (although, come to think of it, some plaids and bright colors have crept into mine).

  5. Oh, I think you could pull this look off well. It seems to work on the tall slender types (like, what doesn't?).

Oh, I saw a tall slender guy today in very long plaid shorts (and oxymoron?) and a vertical stripe shirt. He didn't pull it off well, in my opinion. But, who knows, one of these days there may a photo of me on these pages.

  6. I love some of these combinations. My most favourite is the pink checked shirt. ;)

My favorite is the guy next to the guy in the pink checked shirt. But I think that's only because he was kind of cute. My LEAST favorite was the guy below the pink check (Mr. Flowers)

  7. See, I kinda like some of these ... though not the first one and not the last one.

I always rock a Mixed Print Ensemble.

I have to admit, these looks are growing on me. But I agree, especially about those flowers! Maybe I can do an "All About Bob" fashion post one day. What do you say???

  8. A very exciting collection you have for us today. At first I thought the stripes-on-stripes of the top middle was too sedate until I saw the bag he was carrying - that made the whole ensemble come alive! Well spotted, Mitchell.

I'm so glad you noticed the bag! I found the stripe combination worth a photo but I thought that bag really made the ensemble!

Ha! Sometimes, I find he combinations hard on the eyes. But I do love the way they look when I put them all together. I wonder why everyone just assumes these guys are all straight. There's bound to be one gay guy who dresses like this.

  10. I agree about the stripes-on-stripes guy -- he looks kind of cute and he has calves, but the bag!!!! Of course, I make a point of wearing mismatched socks, but as a gay man, they do go together in spite of being mismatched. Kind of like me and Tom, now that I think about it.

The guy in stripes wasn't bad all round! As for the bag, he WAS with a woman; so maybe he was carrying it for her.

I don't think the Fashion Police would agree but, for some, anything has always gone.

I agree. I have to admit, some do hurt my eyes (or my sensibilities), but the style is definitely growing on me.

  13. Even a color freak like me is cross-eyed at the mismatch.
