In case you've missed my point, we have electricity in our apartment!
ONE OF THE BANDS WE SAW ACCOMPANYING ONE OF THE VIRGINS IN JULY. I MIGHT HAVE THEM AUDITION FOR THE FIRST ANNUAL "DIA DE LA LUZ" IN 2012. |
Now, I'm waiting — for two days — for Movistar installation to phone. I'm learning what "very quickly" means in Movistar-speak. No landline. No internet. No TV. But we have luz!!! And there's a Starbucks a few streets away with free WiFi. We'll manage.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHooray! It's about time. So are you living there now?
ReplyDeleteHello Mitch:
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Everything comes to he who waits. We shall much look forward to the parade next year!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeletem.
I raise my mojito in honor of luz :)
ReplyDeleteWriter:
ReplyDeleteYou took the word right out of my mouth!
Craig:
We'll move in tomorrow. Hotel is already paid for and no desire to rush to pack up our mess. So happy!
J&L:
Unfortunately, they've already got a Virgin of the Luz, or I would have tried to claim it.
Mark:
Thanks!
David:
Hmmm... a mojito tonight. What a good suggestion.
Hurray!!! Hope the rest follows soon.
ReplyDeleteTa-dah!!!! (Using some of wcs's exclamation points left over from previous post comments)
ReplyDeletePeter:
ReplyDeleteFrom your mouth to someone's ears!
Judith:
Thanks!!!!!
Woo hoo!!!!!! Goodbye Hotel!
ReplyDeleteWe just returned from Cape Cod and you are just getting electricity, unbelieveable...I'll never complain about anything ever again...:-)
ReplyDeleteMitch,
ReplyDeleteDia de la Luz with a procession no less, how truly grand it all would be. Now all that is need would be a Papal canonization, Saint Mitch – patron saint of Luz. All joking aside I am glad to hear (read) that you guys finally got the luz on. Hope it’s all down to just packing your suitcases at the hotel and the move is complete. - gary
Yippee! Here's what they say in France: Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid. It means: Little by little, the bird builds it's nest.
ReplyDeleteOr its, without an apostrophe. I seem to have a lot of extra punctuation hanging about these days.
ReplyDeleteCindy:
ReplyDeleteAlmost. One more night here, we've decided.
sophie...^5:
I won't hold you to that promise!
Gary:
What do you mean all joking aside?!? I've been counting on canonization.
All that's left of importance is internet/phone/TV, and that's beginning to look like the "luz"!
Walt the Fourth:
'''!!! welcome here.
Damn that sure took long enough. What an experience. Reminds me of South Africa... takes as long.
