Sweet Inspiration

I hope you've all missed me terribly. I've been uninspired lately. All I could think of was an old poem from school autograph albums (do they still have school autograph albums???).

Can't think.
Brain dumb.
Inspiration won't come.
Poor ink.
Bum pen.
Best wishes.
Amen

But, I'm back. And I thought I would share with you what has finally re-inspired me. It's a photo of my 7-month-old second-cousin twice-removed. She's from California where they're known for their million-dollar smiles.

AYLA AND HER TOOTHY GRIN.

It shocked me when I saw it. I'll have to share a photo of the real smile. It's priceless.

  3. Ive had abit of writers block myself lately, but I'm back! :)

    That dummy is great!

Thanks for stopping by today, I know its a bit of a crime but I do have a soft spot for crappy food, especially Tacco Bell, hence the Juice Diet!

OK. I have a soft spot for crappy food, too. But Taco Bell (and KFC) take it too far for even me.

I've never seen such an unusual dummy (in the USA, they're called pacifiers... and, rarely I think, ninnies). Now I want to go online and see what other kinds of wacky ones there are.

Ayla will probably be mortified when she's older. Although, her parents are both brilliant and hilarious. If she's like them, she may just find it really funny.

  6. Seems to me that your second cousin twice-removed hasn't been removed nearly enough!

She's on her way to your house right now. If it's any help, she's a huge animal lover.

  8. AND ....
I've just spit my morning coffee all over the computer screen.

I'll be sending you the bill for the cleanup!

    Too, too funny.

If I had been drinking coffee, I would have done the same thing. I'll just pass the bill on to Ayla's parents.

  9. She's adorable! I need one of those (without the blue pull-ring) for stressful days at work when plastering my own smile on is too much of a chore! I don't think I could wear it as well as she does with those big blue eyes. :)

I thought the blue pull-ring looked kind of like a tongue piercing. Maybe you could get one in gold. I'll have to share a photo of Ayla with her real smile. She could brighten any day.

NOOOOOO!!! Keep the pesky thing away from me. I've got my net and cage ready just in case!

I had a feeling that would get you. I guess we won't be hearing about the grand opening of Raybeard's Daycare Center any time soon (unless it's for cats)!

I hadn't either. I looked online and found a bunch of other ones with the same idea. This, for me, is my favorite. Some of the others were a bit ugly.

I'm chalking it up to summertime laziness. Just when I think I'm "back," I'm lost again.

Ayla has a natural smile that really does go nearly from ear to ear. I'll bet if her parents showed her reflection in the mirror, she'd burst out laughing and spit that thing across the room. Oh, how I wish they lived nearby.

I have an aunt with a smile kind of like that. She paid about $1,500 per tooth for hers.

Just think of the $$$ that could be saved if, instead of getting dental implants and injections to plump the lips, everyone in the USA got pacifiers. All they'd have to do is remove that blue "handle" and no one would know the difference.
