After Eight

I don't know what was supposed to happen "After Eight," but I don't feel any different after all thirty-two.

If Ron's version of pushing 64 is what I can expect, I look forward to it! (Do you think he can handle two of those boxes? After Eights are very small...)

  2. All thirty two ?!
You'll notice a definite change in the waistline if you carry on like this........I trust you were alone in the house to be able to scoff so many. I would never get away with it !!

I've never really had a waistline problem. San Geraldo is being truly saintly. I sit at my desk and eat chocolate. He's not even tempted. Of course, I don't sit at HIS desk eating it.

  3. Well, thirty-two isn't really all that big a number. I'm just trying to ease your conscience.

No problem. No conscience? (But they're very small.)

And now I'm on to "chocolate mousse truffle nougat." No way I can do 32 of this. One bit put me over the edge!

Love the picture! Is that in Costa Rica? (Middle shelf right: I've had two of those.)

  6. I haven't had After Eights in many years. If I remember correctly, they're quite tasty. Can you get them in Spain, or are these brought from elsewhere? I've not seen them in France, but then, I've never really looked.

Probably couldn't find After Eights in Sevilla. But Fuengirola has a very large expat community and, with that, a much larger variety of imports. Slushie and Darren bought these for us (well... me)!

  7. Live it up today! And tomorrow, begin with your Resolutions! But you probably don't need to make any resolutions about After Eights. You walk so much! Happy New Year to you and San Geraldo!

I resolved one year to no longer make resolutions. It's the only resolution I ever kept. Happy New Year to you, too, Kristi.

  9. Those look like some real kick-but deluxe girl scout cookies.

After Eights are basically Girl Scout Thin Mints ... without the cookie. Much more dietetic...

    2. And without the Girl Scouts - a blessing at times.
