Being Followed By Moonshadows

The days have been warm and sunny — and a bit humid (for here).

The nights have been pleasant — and still a bit humid (for here).

And moons have been out casting shadows — day and night.

THE MOON LAST NIGHT.
FRIDAY AFTERNOON: PERHAPS A WANING GIBOUS?
(MORE LIKELY A WAXING GIBBOUS... MANSCAPING.)
I SUPPOSE HE TANNED THE 'BOTTOM' HALF SATURDAY.
LOOKS LIKE A WAXING CRESCENT: THE VIEW FROM ELENA'S CHAIR,
FURTHER ALONG THE BEACH FRIDAY.

Did it take long to find me?

  1. Oh, I just noticed the new Moose and Dudo side photos! Great ones :) Have they been there for a while??

Love the beach, the surf, the sand... a bit too much moon. ;)

New photos just went up yesterday. You're observant! San Geraldo, the DD, and Kid Brother are overdue.

If the guys are English, they'd be builders (with "builder's bum").

Here, it's an hucha (the coin slot in a piggy bank).

  4. I used to be a big Cat Stevens fan, had all his albums. Fun cracks on the beach.

My camera is not high-end, so if I wait too long for a shot of the moon, I can't get any detail. Was pleased to catch this.

  6. Now why on earth would people wear their bathing garments so low?

The first guy was clearly toasting his buns. I think the second guy was just having a wardrobe malfunction.

I was kind of proud of myself with the waxing gibbous. Your Spanish was very clever.

  8. We are getting the scorches drifting up from your part of the world, Mitch - today could even scrape 40 in some places around here. Not much fun in that - in fact, clear dangers!

I too used to be a fan of said C.S., that is until he became Yusuf Islam with corresponding hardline opinions (even calling for the death of Salman Rushdie, for heaven's sake). I see that he's now coming out of his religious-imposed shell and starting to perform in modest venues again, though not sure if his opinions have mellowed or softened. If I hear that they have I just may give him another chance, but not until then.

Here along the coast, we have not been hit with the same kind of heat as even an hour north. We haven't hit 40, but I think Sevilla was 44 the other day (and no beach).

As for Cat Stevens, I've read that he was misrepresented. He was asked hypothetically what in essence an extremist reading of the Koran might say about Salman Rushdie's book. He responded and was then accused of taking that stance himself, which he says he never did and absolutely did not support. I hope that's true. I've chosen to believe him.

  9. I just knew, when I saw the title, that bums would be involved... beach bums! Makes me think one should have their credit card handy; just slide it in the slot, lol.

Haven't heard that song in ages, although I adored it when I was young - Geraldo didn't like it at all, and expressed his opinion rather vociferously.

Everybody's a critic! This San Geraldo and I laughed out loud this morning when I read out Geraldo's music critique.

  10. Re Cat Stevens: Thanks for that info, Mitch, which I hadn't heard before, and which could make all the difference to my opinion. Now if he comes out and says that gay acts should NOT be criminal, unlike the significant majority of Muslims, then that will be a clincher. But let's not get hung up only on his religion. He did write some fabulous songs - and, for all I know, maybe he still is.
