Every Moment Is Of Moment

I'm working diligently, although not always successfully, to stop dwelling in the past after my month in New York reliving, reconnecting, and rehashing so many of those moments that made me who I am now. Many moments I prefer to leave behind ... in New York... forever.

I won't whine. I won't tell you of all the oh-so-sad moments in my past. There were also plenty of oh-so-happy moments. They're just not always oh-so-easy to remember.

Instead, here are moments of wonder: The 2016 Coney Art Walls (click here for the 2015 Coney Art Walls, and other moments from the not-so-distant past).

Any moment, big or small, is a moment after all...

  1. WOW WOW WOW!!!
Now these very colourful pieces of art will surely bring you into the present while looking at them!
Your summer was steeped in the past....good and bad. Best to leave them there. Stop and take a look around you right now.....this is what is important.

  2. Alas, life is a mixture of happy and sad, good and bad times. For all of us we have a life that is like a mixed salad or stew - For me I can often be found giggling to myself about the various capers I have involved myself in some of which are - oh well never mind... I just enjoy my smiles and you can do the same Mitchell.

Maybe reading about your capers will help?

Mitchell, I am sorry to know that you have had oh-so-sad moments in your past. I admire your attitude about it all, and I thank you for reminding me that we can make the choice to move in a positive direction :)

And even if we make the choice, it's not always in our control. Patience and a sense of humor help!

  5. Fantastic murals! I took a moment to look at each one. I think my favorite is the second one which looks sort of Jules Vern-ish. Also loved the "moment in the woods". Dennis listened too, and we figured out that we live moment to moment and have never found our way out of the woods, with all its good parts and scary parts. Hang onto those good parts, Mitchell, and be sure to make more.

That second one does require longer study to really appreciate it. I think we're quite like you and Dennis!

  6. Love those. The energy is just amazing!
And I agree with others, remember the good times, the fun times, the happy times, but also know that those"other" times made the good fun happy times even better.

And when I'm having a difficult moment in the woods, I just remember myself, "I have a baker!!!"

  8. What colorful walls! As for the feelings... I totally agree with Bob S., a couple comments up. The sad times really make us appreciate the good... and how one often depends on the other. Life really is good!
