I read the news today (oh boy) and then wondered what I would blog about that had nothing to do with that. Before heading out for a brief walk after morning coffee, I sat down on the terrace in the warm sun. Our glass curtains have turned the terrace into a glorious sunroom in winter. Moose saw me from his terrace treehouse and came running over to give and get some love. He hadn't even shaken the sleep out of his head. He put everything into perspective. Or maybe out of perspective — but he made me smile. (Click the images to get as close a look as Moose and I got.)
My friend, the only way I cannot become depressed by what is going on in the USA is by avoidance - don't read the news. Difficult, I know but it might help. I have read, watched a bunch of Netflix, played with the dog, played old episodes of House Hunters International (one can dream), done anything to avoid it. Maybe try it?
Cheapchick: I did try avoidance, but can't help myself and don't feel I should. So, I now read the basics, Jerry and I have brief discussions, and the subject is dropped. I don't read everything that flies across the news sites and I don't read everything shared on Facebook. It really can be overwhelmingly depressing. I just don't want to bury my head in the sand and I want to make sure to make my voice heard and do what I can when I can. It may be a waste of time, but ...
Ray: Dudo is Dudo. Loving, funny, entertaining, clever, strong-willed. He's my pal and I adore him. Moose, however, gets sweeter and more attentive with each passing day. His evolution fills my heart with joy.
anne marie: That's very unusual for Moose. He used to be much more cautious and a little distant. He is constantly changing and makes me love him a bit more all the time.
Jim: He greets us at the door every time we come home. And he follows us around the house constantly. He'll get up from a dead sleep to keep us company. We like him a lot, too.

Sweet, sweet, sweet reminder :)
ReplyDeleteWatching live streaming from the DC march right now... seeing Moose's sweet puss is a nice addition :)
Judy:
DeleteAnd seeing you sweet face here is a nice addition, too.

ReplyDeletemistress maddie:

I haven't seen a cat that close since my beloved Sausalito passed forty years ago.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteWell, anytime you need a fix, just let me know. (I love the name Sausalito.)
I think he likes you....a lot!

ReplyDeleteCat Lover:
DeleteDudo is the one who always did this. Moose continues to grow more an more into himself. He has to now be in the middle of everything we do.
Such a sweet little kitty,
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteHe is so affectionate, gentle, and attentive. But Little, he is not!
I think your cat is not in a good mood ,... He needs cat,s food
ReplyDeleteGosia:
DeleteOh, he was in a very good mood. He just wanted my undivided attention.
He is the cutest! Moose for President! ;)
ReplyDeleteKnatolee:
DeleteHe gets sweeter with each passing day. (And more and more demanding; but it's only for love and affection, so I'm not really complaining.)
