Centre Pompidou Málaga

Cast your eye on some of my favorite art at Centre Pompidou Málaga, our branch of the famous Paris contemporary art museum. I visited Sunday with our friend Miguel. It was my first time and will difinitely not be my last.

  1. What a lovely museum. I sometimes like places like this that are off center. The Spanish Man could easily be me here on Friday nights! The Moroccan reminds me of our dumb ass president and his horrid hair!!!

But the ghosts are a bit creepy.........

    2. mistress maddie: I think the Moroccan's hair and face are a huge improvement. A possibly more precise translation of El Caballero Español would be The Spanish Gentleman. Of course that would be you... or maybe Joella.

  2. Very interesting Mitchell! My favourite is "The Great Spirit" I think Mistress Maddie hit the nail right on the head with his description of The Moroccan.
    Have a good evening.

  6. I'm not afraid to admit that I don't understand modern art. I'd be the idiot scratching my head while I stare at the painting of the guy with the fish on his head, and everyone would think I'm really deep and analytical and pondering its great meaning. Meanwhile, I'm just remembering that episode of Looney Toons where one of the characters got a pallet full of fish dropped on his head for comic effect.

The way I enjoy art is by keeping my analysis to myself and I hate when someone who's with me or near me in a museum needs to discuss everything they see. It's a personal experience. There are some things I find meaning in and some things I don't. Some that stir up some kind of emotion and some that don't. (Some that I consider crap, too!) If you're remembering Looney Toons, good for you!

It opened some time after we arrived in Málaga. I regret taking so long to visit.
