Echando la vista en algunos de mis favoritos en Centre Pompidou Málaga, nuestra centro del famoso museo de arte contemporáneo de París. Domingo visité con nuestro amigo Miguel. Fue mi primera vez y sin duda no será la última.
KADER ATTI: GHOST, 2007. FANTASMA, 2007. |

I ALMOST FORGOT TO TELL YOU ABOUT JOELLA (BELOW). BUT ALL I KNOW IS HER NAME. ¡CASI OLVIDÉ DECIRTE DE JOELLA (ABAJO)! PERO TODO LO QUE SÉ ES SU NOMBRE. |
ED PASCHKE: JOELLA, 1991. USE YOUR IMAGINATION. USE TU IMAGINACIÓN. |
What a lovely museum. I sometimes like places like this that are off center. The Spanish Man could easily be me here on Friday nights! The Moroccan reminds me of our dumb ass president and his horrid hair!!!
ReplyDeleteBut the ghosts are a bit creepy.........
no, I picture you as Joella on Friday nights!
Deletemistress maddie: I think the Moroccan's hair and face are a huge improvement. A possibly more precise translation of El Caballero Español would be The Spanish Gentleman. Of course that would be you... or maybe Joella.
DeleteVery interesting Mitchell! My favourite is "The Great Spirit" I think Mistress Maddie hit the nail right on the head with his description of The Moroccan.
ReplyDeleteHave a good evening.

Robin:
DeleteI also loved The Great Spirit.
"GHOST" reminds me of muslims at prayer time.
ReplyDelete"THE MANNEQUIN" reminds me of donald dump.
"THE SPANISH MAN" - ooh la la, how sexy!
"THE MORACCAN" - (everybody sing) fish heads, fish heads, roly poly fish heads, fish heads, fish
heads, eat them up, yum!
"JOELLA" - ethel merman with hairy pits
anne marie:
Delete"GHOST" is exactly what you think it is! And your description of JOELLA is perfect!
I like the guy with the fish on his head.
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteWell, maybe from a distance...
Interesting eclectic mix!
ReplyDeleteI like 'Neptune'.
Jim:
DeleteI love Neptune!
I'm not afraid to admit that I don't understand modern art. I'd be the idiot scratching my head while I stare at the painting of the guy with the fish on his head, and everyone would think I'm really deep and analytical and pondering its great meaning. Meanwhile, I'm just remembering that episode of Looney Toons where one of the characters got a pallet full of fish dropped on his head for comic effect.
ReplyDeleteA Beer For The Shower:
DeleteThe way I enjoy art is by keeping my analysis to myself and I hate when someone who's with me or near me in a museum needs to discuss everything they see. It's a personal experience. There are some things I find meaning in and some things I don't. Some that stir up some kind of emotion and some that don't. (Some that I consider crap, too!) If you're remembering Looney Toons, good for you!
Looks like a compelling museum with many interesting exhibits.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteThere was plenty more that was really fascinating. I loved the place!
Who knew?
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteIt opened some time after we arrived in Málaga. I regret taking so long to visit.
