PAUL BLANE AND SOME GUY WITH A BANJO ON HIS KNEE. (PAUL IS NOT FROM ALABAMA... UNLESS ALABAMA IS IN SCOTLAND.) |
IF THAT'S SUSANNA, I DON'T THINK SHE'S SHEDDING ANY TEARS FOR THE BANJO PLAYER. |
Sung by a couple of guys who clearly don't know our Susanna...
Linda and Tom brought us Godiva chocolate. I thought there were two dark chocolate bars for San Geraldo and two milk chocolate bars for me. Before snapping the below photo, I opened the supposed four-pack to arrange them. When I downloaded the photo, I noticed it was only a three-pack. I just glanced over to my bookcase and it turns out there's only one dark chocolate bar. There must be something wrong with my camera.
IT'S A MYSTERY. |
Godiva - my favorite. Those sand sculptures are amazing. I want to visit them in person one day. :-)
ReplyDeleteNubian:
DeleteThe sand sculptures await!
Uh-oh
ReplyDelete(Hey, is Paul Blane a native English speaker, or is he Spanish?)
Judy:
DeleteWell, Paul was born in Scotland, so I don't know if you could actually say he's an English speaker (although we DO understand each other). He's lived in Spain for a long time, so I'm guessing his Spanish is decent, too.
Funny, Chocolate disappears at my house too, must be phantoms...
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteI'm blaming the cats.
Oh Godiva! I'll take that over Suzannah anyday... if those chocolate bars were in our house they'd be no mystery who ate them. I'm sure it was either Dudo or Moose... I mean, who else would be so sneaky?
ReplyDeleteSharon:
DeleteIt's either the cats or the chocolate was simply a figment of my imagination.
Mice! They even get in our fridge and steal chocolate covered biscuits.
ReplyDeleteAndrew:
DeleteDamned scavengers!
Right Mitchell, right! lol
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeleteI'm reduced to eating chocolate-topped corn tortitas!
These sand scuptures are amazing....And equally amazing that someone will spend so much time creating them, they are SO ephemeral. I remember reading, long ago, about an artist who lived in Paris and made up an imaginary country and all its history and famous people and agricultural products and then made himself the designer of postage stamps for this country and spent his entire life designing them. I think he died rather young and I wish I could remember his name.......
ReplyDeletePerhaps the missing chocolate has gone into one of the multiverses I don't at all understand, even after last weeks Science Friday program.
Kristi:
DeleteThere are a couple of other artists who do really magnificent works that they maintain for a while before creating something new. Paul's are by far the best. He tends to them and changes them for weeks and weeks, so it's always interesting to go back and what's developed.
I don't think there ever WAS chocolate. It was my imagination and a faulty camera. I'm sure.
Wow, I think I've discovered who this man was. The internet is amazing. His name was Donald Evans. He was born in 1945 as I was, and died in 1977.
ReplyDeleteKristi:
DeleteDid I miss something? What man? I must have had too much imaginary chocolate.
I'd keep the dark chocolate and pass along the milk chocolate. Strange how one disappeared.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteOK. I'll admit it. I've been eating both the dark and light chocolate. But I've been eating the dark chocolate so San Geraldo isn't tempted. It's not on his diet. I'm selfless.
Dark chocolate has a tendency, a slight tendency to disappear/vanish into the ether. Camera tricks are a good excuse, Mitch!!
ReplyDeleteFeeling the love from over the ocean.....give La Gripa a boot in the "you know what" for me won't you!!!!!!
Ron
Ron:
DeleteWhat do you mean "excuse"? It's a very unusual camera.
As for La Gripa, San Geraldo and I were inoculated. No boot needed!
