The large section containing the plants that will do best in our terrace environment had not a single flower to show. But check out what we did see (and click the bloomin' image to make it bigger).

Get it? Get it? We haven't botany! You know, like bought any?
I know most of you got this really, really bad pun. The painful explanation, which only made it worse, was for the benefit of San Geraldo.
bwhahahahaha! I think orchids are the most delicate and intricate of all the flowers.
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteThey amaze me. There were some in bloom behind glass because they were so tiny and so delicate.
Oh' my that was a very droll pun and on a Saturday too ! :-)
ReplyDeleteHeron:
DeleteSorry about that. I couldn't help myself.
Duh. "Botany".... Nice flowers.
ReplyDeleteFrank:
DeleteI've been told that a really good pun will elicit a groan. I groaned.
Orchids are beautiful, but I've never had any luck with them.
ReplyDeleteI haven't botany in a long time!
Jennifer:
DeleteOh, groan again!
The things Jerry has to put up with!! lol
ReplyDeletePerfect new home for your future orchids.....botany yet?
Jim:
DeleteStill haven't botany... Jerry loves me.
But do you horticulture?
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI'm pretty certain I've never been a horticulture. (That would mean someone has paid me for it, correct?)
Ha! I got the pun right away.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteWell, I hope that makes you proud.
I dooon't get it! (where's that damned symbol for a whiny voice)
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteIs there really a symbol for a whiney voice? I want that!
Good one! Love a good pun!
ReplyDeleteKmoff:
DeleteIf it makes you groan, it's a good pun.
Epiphyte humor often falls flat.
ReplyDeleteSpo:
DeleteI know. Many stand-up comedians have flopped when trying it.
Bad puns are the best puns. Always. A friend of ours in San Francisco briefly dated a guy who owned a garden shop. His name was Dale. The place was, of course, called "Blooming Dale's." No joke.
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteTHAT is really clever. I'm ashamed to say my sister "Dale" just about lived at Bloomingdale's (shopping) and I never ever made any kind of punny connection.
