Duck, Duck, Moose / Pato, Pato, Alce

We didn't play the children's game "Duck, Duck, Goose" while we were in Northern Norway. But we did see them. And moose and reindeer, too. Mostly moose.

No jugamos el juego de los niños "Pato, Pato, Ganso" mientras estábamos en el norte de Noruega. Pero los vemos. Y alces y renos, también. Principalmente alces.

REINDEER / RENOS

OYSTERCATCHER / OSTRERO

GREYLAG GOOSE / ÁNSAR COMÚN

EIDER
Y MOOSE / Y ALCE

A bit of trivia:
In Minnesota, according to Erin Scwab (click here to meet her), San Geraldo's god-daughter, they didn't play "Duck, Duck, Goose." They played "Duck, Duck, Grey Duck." For example, instead of saying "duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, GOOSE," they say "Red duck, yellow duck, green duck, GRAY duck!" Much more exciting.

Un poco de trivia:
En el estado de Minnesota, según Erin Schwab (haz clic aquí para conocerla), la ahijada de San Geraldo, ellos no jugaron "Pato, Pato, Ganso". Jugaron "Pato, Pato, Pato Gris". Por ejemplo, en lugar de decir "pato, pato, pato, pato, pato, pato, pato, GOOSE", dicen "pato rojo, pato amarillo, pato verde, pato GRIS!" Mucho más emocionante.

  1. That is amazing to see. I love moose and your luckily to have seen them so close. They tend to be usually very well hidden away and reclusive. Beautiful trip you guys had.

I don't recall that we played Duck, Duck, Moose at all. Sheltered life I guess!
    Take care.

We saw them everywhere. Wish I had gotten better shots of the ones crossing the road.

  5. Great pictures. Makes me want to go to Norway for a few days.
I saw a moose in the wild once, in Montana.

Duck duck goose: You didn't miss much.

I had no idea it would be so easy to see moose every day on the road. Glad it was always light. Would hate to run into one in winter darkness.
