SAN GERALDO AND I have been know to jump into just about anything in our time together. We have ideas. We talk. We plan. We take the plunge. "What's the worst that can happen?" we ask. And then we decide we can survive whatever that is. When we talked in 1999 of opening a hotel in Palm Springs, California, we decided the worst that could happen would be that we'd go broke and have to start all over again. We did... and we did. And we survived. This is about as stable (well, that's a relative term) as we've been for a very long time. We've lived in the same city in the same home for 4-1/2 years. That's nearly a record.

Might as well jump.
Deberías saltar también.
Deberías saltar también.
it's the blond woman that ruined van halen (old joke)!
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteI can't believe I used to think that blond woman was hot! Must have been the hairy chest.
That is really inspiring!
ReplyDeletePetite:
DeleteInspiration is everywhere.
Good life lesson.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't take a leap every so often how will you ever know what you can do.
That said, when's your next jump?
Bob:
DeleteJust want to do some hopping right now and explore more of Spain and Europe... but you never know what might inspire us.
Are you getting restless for another jump into the unknown?
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteNo major jump being considered. But who knows what's ahead.
terrific photo sequence. Even though you have been in the same geographic location for 4.5 years, you seem to manage to keep things lively and interesting. Like you, we hate to get in a rut.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteWe get bored so easily!
As soon as I read the title of your post, I thought of that song. Haha.
ReplyDeleteI envy you your risk taking as a couple. My husband and I rarely take a risk of any kind, and while it's safe, sometimes I'm afraid we're missing out.....
Jennifer:
DeleteWe sometimes stress ourselves to the extreme but we thrive on change.
So when are you and Gerry jumping of the bouncy box into the water? With photos for proof?
ReplyDeleteCheapchck:
DeleteOne never knows!
And we've been enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteSometimes even more than than we have!
Guts is all you need and I'd say you have it in spades.
ReplyDeleteNow jump!!
Ron:
DeleteGuts and a bit of immaturity maybe!
I think you guys have found 'home'.
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeleteI think you're right!
It takes courage to move to another country to make a life for yourself. I'm always impressed by what you've accomplished.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteThanks. We've moved a lot. And I was on the move before I met Jerry. I always wondered if I was running away from something. Since being here, I feel like I was just always running towards Spain.
