I'VE READ THAT some people consider lobster an aphrodisiac. Here's another 69th birthday painting by Luke (and Kathleen) for San Geraldo. And another poem/limerick.
San Geraldo and I have been both down with a cold at the same time. It's the pits. Neither of us is showing real signs of recovering, although he's at least able to go out for brief stints, which means he can pick up things like wonton soup. I haven't been out of the house since Monday. We missed a special Valentine's dinner at Mesón Salvador last night. Alejandro even created heart-shaped after-dinner drinks (they looked like gummy candies). I hope he saved me one!
Rest and get well soon,

DeleteThanks. Working on it!
Find/make some chicken soup. And drink lots of liquid.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
Jim:
DeleteThe wonton soup from downstairs has done the trick (several times this week). Getting better.
Wonton is always a winner!
DeleteHappy 69th Geraldo. Keep eating chicken/wonton soup and you'll be better in a few days, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteFrank:
DeleteWe're both showing signs of recovery. I finally went out for a brief time today and ran into a number of neighbors. They had all also been sick all week and are just starting to recover.
cute art
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteKathleen is really clever. I love this!
Love the art work. That alone should lift your spirits! Feel better!
ReplyDeleteBob:
DeleteI love the paintings Kathleen did with Luke. Luke has a ball and obviously so does Kathleen. So creative.
A Blue Lobster Original! Wish I were that creative. Wonton soup has always been my first choice when I have a cold. Hope it you find it soothing if not curative.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI know. Kathleen comes up with the best ideas. She says it's because she's a teacher, but I know plenty of teachers who don't think like this. She's got a gift. The wonton soup has been wonderful this week... And chocolate ice cream.
That's a pretty funny painting.
ReplyDeleteKirk:
DeleteI love this painting and the other they did. Kathleen has great ideas.
That lobster looks like Super Groper!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteI didn't know what Super Groper was. Now I do. Blech. Yuck. Ick. EW!!!
More poetry...you two are rich with friends (and blue lobsters apparently)
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteWe are very lucky to have such very special people in our lives.
Love the painting I have three 1930 lobster bowls btw
ReplyDeleteJohn:
DeleteI would love to see your lobster bowls if that's of ever of interest to you to blog about. I do love the artwork Luke (and Kathleen) have created for us.
I like either wonton or chicken noodle soup from my local chinese takeout when I feel shitty. get well soon, BOTH of you!
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteThe wonton soup from our new Chinese restaurant downstairs was a huge help all week. I could probably have lived on it... but San Geraldo makes me eat balanced meals!
Perhaps you should try some wanton soup...
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteThat's probably what got me in this mess in the first place.
I am so sorry to hear that you are both feeling so yucky -- but, that sunrise the other day was certainly fabulous!
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteWe had a few fabulous sunrises this week. I'm so glad I got pictures of that one. The past three days were springlike. I finally got out for a bit today. Not a very long bit. But a bit.
