IN LESS THAN one week, we will have lived with Dudo and Moose for seven years. We're fairly well trained.
EN MENOS DE una semana, viviremos con Dudo y Moose durante siete años. Estamos bastante bien entrenados.
DUDO: "YES, I KNOW JERRY WAS SITTING HERE." DUDO: "SÍ, YO SÉ QUE JERRY ESTABA SENTADO AQUÍ." |
"'WAS.' DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND THE PAST TENSE?" "'ESTABA.' ¿INCLUSO ENTIENDES EL PRETÉRITO?" |
"YOU WANT TO MAKE THE BED? DON'T BE RIDICULOUS." "¿QUIERES HACER LA CAMA? NO SEAS RIDÍCULO." |
"IF IT'S NOT FOR ME TO SIT ON, WHAT'S IT DOING HERE?" "SI NO ES PARA MÍ SENTARME, ¿QUÉ ESTÁ HACIENDO AQUÍ?" |
"AGAIN? YOU MAKE THE BED EVERY DAY?" "¿OTRA VEZ? ¿HACES LA CAMA TODOS LOS DíAS?!?" |
"REPEAT AFTER ME: JERRY WAS HERE. DUDO IS HERE. IS THAT SO DIFFICULT?" "REPITE DESPUÉS DE MI: JERRY ESTABA AQUÍ. DUDO ESTÁ AQUÍ. ¿ES ESO TAN DIFÍCIL?" |
Clearly everyone know's who's the boss, er, bosses!

DeleteAnd my parents didn't think I could be trained.
Just gorgeous and so very catlike! I can see the difference now. Moose has a narrower face patch or whatever that strip of white is called. They look an awful lot like my grandcat, Lucy.
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteSo many differences. Moose is heavier and squarely built. Dudo is slender, narrow face. Moose has more black than Dudo -- a complete black mask as opposed to Dudo's under-eye liner; black rear legs (Dudo's are white). It becomes obvious when you give them a good luck. When we first got them we thought they were identical. I keep trying to get good current comparison shots. Moose doesn't cooperate.
Yes, you two boys are very well-trained!!
ReplyDeleteDudo and Moose.....you are doing a great job!!
Jim:
DeleteThey're doing a very good job keeping loved feeling -- and sometimes making us crazy (Moose especially).
Home is where there's most comfort - and guaranteed food.
ReplyDeleteA suggested answer to Deedles' implied question - their white strip is a bit like a horse's blaze, isn't it?
Ray:
DeleteI think so. These guys, on closer inspection, have a lot of differences. One of these days I'll get good comparison shots.
Dudo and Moose have a certain "presence", don't they? And you two are so good to stage their living areas to show them to their greatest advantage. Well done!
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI do actually think about the cats when I buy the bed linens.
Cats do own people you know this. You two are the severants!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Duo's tail curl in the one picture.
mistress maddie:
DeleteDudo does very elegant things with his tail all the time. He's a classy cat... except when he rubs his butt across my clean sheets.
Some great captions you came up with.
ReplyDeleteKirk:
DeleteJust a collection of direct quotes.
@Raybeard- Thank you! I was thinking horse but for the life of me I couldn't remember the word: blaze. That is such a cool word for a white strip :)
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteI worked with a woman named Blaze. A good name. She had flaming red hair, too.
Ugh, they are just so friggin' adorable! Love that last photo in particular.
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteMoose is SO affectionate, hates to be left alone and will follow us from room to room. But he won't sit on laps and hates to be picked up. So, Jerry calls to him and that's what Moose does. He also sleeps under Jerry's armpit, but will NOT get on his lap.
EVERYBODY loves moose & dudo! the kings of your castle are so NOT you and jerry!
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteThey're so much more deserving anyway!
Awwww... Happy Cativersary!
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteTime DOES fly. July 11 is our 8th anniversary in Spain!
Such little sweeties!
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteThey make me really happy (when I'm capable of experiencing happiness!)
cute kitty
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteKitties. Yes, they are.
Ohhhhhhhhh, I just looooove these guys!
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteSo do I!
