WE HAD AN exceptional meal Monday afternoon at the home of friends Lina and Raúl. Great food and friends. And their dog, Lincoln, is a sweetheart, too. He thought we were there solely to visit him and was a bit put out when he was told finally to go lie down. Raúl has a "thing" for those big old American cars like Chevys and Lincolns. Hence the dog's name. If they were to get a second dog, Raúl would name that one Continental (as in Lincoln Continental). Lina and Raúl (and Lincoln) were just what the doctor ordered (but maybe not all those delicious mojitos... nor the chocolate).
SALAD OF EGGS, TUNA, ORANGES, TOMATOES, CHIVES. ENSALADA DE HUEVOS, ÁTUN, NARANJAS, TAMATES, Y CEBOLLINOS.
ONE MOJITO. TWO MOJITOS. THREE MOJITOS. FLOOR. UN MOJITO. DOS MOJITOS. TRES MOJITOS. SUELO.
HOME-MADE PATÉ WITH BLUEBERRY MARMALADE. PATÉ HECHO EN CASA CON MERMELADA DE ARÁNDANO.
POOR LINCOLN / POBRE LINCOLN.
A RICE FEAST. THERE WAS ALSO A GORGEOUS TOMATO SALAD. UNA FIESTA CON ÁRROZ. HABÍA TAMBIÉN UNA ENSALADA DE TOMATE MAGNÍFICA.
BANANA CHIPS / PLÁTANOS FRITOS
LONELY LINCOLN / SOLITARIO LINCOLN.
CHOCOLATE, CASHEWS, LIME ZEST (PLUS RAISINS AND CREAM). AND CUBAN COFFEE. CHOCOLATE, ANACARDOS, CÁSCARA DE LIMÓN (Y PASAS Y NATA). Y CAFÉ CUBANO.
¡VOILÁ!
AFTER HE SHOWS US HOW TO MAKE IT, RAÚL SHOWS US HOW TO EAT IT. DESPUÉS DE QUE EL NOS MUESTRA CÓMO HACERLO, RAÚL NOS MUESTRA CÓMO COMERLO.
LINCOLN LOOKING VERY CONTINENTAL.
LINCOLN SE VE MUY CONTINENTAL.
"Vas a llevarme a beber si no dejas de conducir ese hot rod Lincoln."
Thanks for the share. Lincoln looks like he's not happy until dinner's served. Then again he still has the same face and now a human body. Lincoln what happened? What did they serve at dinner to you? Have a great day. World of Animals
