Extreme Make-Overs And The Kid Brother

Today's lunch out was good, but our identical glamorous makeovers were even better. It was simply one of those setups where you shove your head through a hole and look like whatever is on the other side. Our heads wouldn't quite fit, but we managed (and Photoshop helped smooth out the edges).

(If you think you can handle our glorious magnificence, click the images.)

A few hours later, my day continued to improve when The Kid Brother surprised me with a FaceTime call. He's finally got it back up and running. So, instead of a weekly phone call, we'll be able to see each other. Neither one of us could stop smiling.

I can be the one you call...

The cats are going to be so happy to see him again every week. (Because it means they get another treat while he watches.)

  4. Hi Mitchell, I've been enjoying your blog for so long but have been too much of a computer dunce to get the hang of commenting to say so. I know - in this day and age. What an idiot! What can I say, except I am one - an idiot.
Anyway, I just want to tell you and Jerry I hope you, Musy and Dudo have a wonderful Christmas.
Our 3 cats send their love and a few miaows. (Now sure why, but Australian cats say miaow not meow. Heh)

Thanks so much for reading and for finally being able to comment. You are NOT an idiot. A lot of very technically savvy people sometimes have a hard time commenting. Google Blogspot can be quirky sometimes. Here in Spain, cats say "miau." Sending miau-ey Christmas wishes to you and your family!

We are both so much happier when we can see each other like that. In all our years, he has phoned me once and only once. So these FaceTime calls from him are so gratifying.

It DOES change everything and is especially important for my brother. He's not great on the phone but is wonderful in video chats. It even improved communication with my mother these past five years.

We had a joyful FaceTime conversation yesterday. He's so much more relaxed when we can see each other; he's not a big fan of the telephone. It makes ME so happy!
