Constant Craving / Deseo Constante

DESSERT LAST NIGHT was San Geraldo's chocolate cake. Needless to say, it's out of this world. He has perfected it and I can no longer enjoy any but his. So, I've decided to be exclusive. (OK, I decided that 36 years ago, but now I'm going to be faithful to his chocolate cake, too.)

Craving more sun after morning coffee, I changed into shorts and went for a walk on the beach. In the south? Clear skies and sunshine. East? Dark clouds! The wind came up and hurt my ears. But I persevered. The promise of another slice of chocolate heaven helped.

After my walk in the wind my cold symptoms were awful, which leads me back to allergies! Still, I'm feeling much better at this point than San Geraldo. Poor boy.

After lunch and my reward, I put on more appropriate clothing and went out to satisfy my jelly bean craving. Fini Beans seem to be the gourmet brand here. I haven't opened the bag yet. Having to remove my Invisalign braces from my mouth slows down the binging. It doesn't do anything for the constant craving.

EL POSTRE DE anoche fue la tarta de chocolate de San Geraldo. Huelga decir que está increíble. Él lo ha perfeccionado y ya no puedo disfrutar más que el suyo. Entonces, he decidido ser exclusivo.

No he abierto la bolsa todavía. Tener que quitar mis brackets Invisalign de mi boca ralentiza el atracón. No hace nada por el deseo constante.

  1. I would be exclusive, too, with that cake. No black ones in that bag of jelly beans, but otherwise they look great. KD Lang is a favorite of mine. I sing her songs as I walk the dogs - luckily with no around to hear excepts the pups. At least it doesn't make them howl.

    1. Wilma,
I can find good black licorice but no black jelly beans. Yet.

  2. Oh rats! I did fine with the talking about the jelly beans, now, with the visuals, I have to crawl out of my hole, put on some clothes, and head to the store! Binge eating is a given, so I have to decide between spiking my blood sugar and throwing up, or going with sugar free and giving the other end a work out. Oh the choices!

    1. Deedl s,
Throwing up would require a huge spike. Lower risk than those sugar free beans!

    1. Anne Marie,
The secret is the best chocolate and cocoa... and San Geraldo’s magic hands.

  4. THAT is one good looking 'exclusivity'! (is that even a word? lol)
I like and appreciate the balance in your life.....piece of cake after a good walk. Works for me!
kd is the best! I remember seeing her 'live' when she was in her 'Patsy Cline' phase.

  7. My favorite thing to do with those jelly beans is to take my two favorites, watermelon and peach and eat them together. Yummy. I do that with several flavors.

  8. Oh my HEAVENS! That cake! And those photos of the sky and the beach! (The jelly beans are fun, too, but not my thing -- though I love the bag, with its español on it : ) ) I do so hope that you and San Geraldo are feeling better soon.

Both recipes from a previous post... Jerry uses the best quality dark chocolate and cocoa. He doesn't use bakers chocolate. Valor (Spanish brand) dark chocolate and high-quality cocoa. https://mitchellismoving.blogspot.com.es/.../master-baker...

  13. No more beach walks for you once that super-chilled Siberian/Arctic blast starts - and it's already on its way here, forecast to last up to TEN days or more - by far our coldest stretch of Winter so far when some of us had hoped we might by now have been into Spring! Or maybe you'll be lucky in it staying to the north of you. Climate change! - who says it's not happening!

It seems to be heading this way, too. A bit raw today. You’d find it tropical!
