Beyond The Aloe / Más Allá Del Áloe

THE ALOE VERA in our entryway have begun to bloom. Yellow flowers working their way up from the bottom. Dudo was at first interested in the plants. Until his brother, Moose, noticed birds flying outside.

LAS ALOE VERA en nuestra entrada han comenzado a florecer. Flores amarillas que se abren desde abajo a arriba. Dudo estaba interesado al principio en las plantas. Hasta que su hermano, Moose, notó pájaros volando afuera.

  1. I did not know aloe plants bloomed. I would love to see a pix of the flowers when they open; do the flowers have a scent?

All cacti and succulents have some sort of bloom. Some unbelievably dramatic. This photo actually shows the open aloe flowers. They work their way up the stem.

  2. Clearly, Dudo is a sensitive New Age male. Moose, not so much.

Dudo doesn't miss anything and notes any change in decor or rearrangement. Moose? Well, he's sweet.

  3. Is this a gay comment?

Not gay at all. It's simply that you're so fastidious (or maybe more that clean is always such a surprise to you). Anyway, we take no credit for that clean floor. The portero takes care that.

Dudo wavers between treats and birds ... and lap. He wants out in the hall now. Birds!

With Moose, sometimes he just spaces out. That time was concentration.
