Crested Ancestors / Antepasados Crestados

WHILE TOURING MÁLAGA'S Museum of Glass and Crystal, we saw dozens of oil portraits of ancestors of the museum owners, some going back to the 1600s.

When we came upon one stylish portrait from the 1930s, I looked and did a double-take before saying anything. Not so San Geraldo.

"Wow! Look at her hair!" he exclaimed.

"I thought the same thing at first," I agreed. "It's a fan of feathers, Jerry."

"Oh, I thought she had an afro."

"¡Guau! ¡Mira su cabello!" exclamó.

"Pensé lo mismo al principio", acepté. "Es un abanico de plumas, Jerry".

"Oh, pensé que tenía un afro".

  4. I thought it was an afro too at first, not enough difference in colour. Odd place to put the feathers, can you imagine posing for that?

  5. I didn't see afro. I saw a "thank you for the country music award", teased up to Jesus, sixties' bouffant thingy. Then I thought, hat.
