Patron Saint Of Lost Pants / Patrona De Pantalones Perdidos

REMEMBER THAT GUY I saw on the beach the other day? (Click here.) I saw him a day later lying on his back. That view is not appropriate for young readers — or those with any refinement. So, I thought I'd share a couple of pictures of a local sinner looking for absolution — and his pants.

"I KNOW I SHOULD BE ASHAMED. IT'S NOT JUST THE PANTS I LOST."
"SÉ QUE DEBERÍA AVERGONZARME. NO SON SOLO LOS PANTALONES QUE PERDÍ."
"BUT, CAN YOU HURRY IT UP? I THINK THE LADY BEHIND ME IS SHARING PHOTOS."
"PERO, ¿PUEDES APRESURARTE? CREO QUE LA SEÑORA DETRÁS DE MÍ ESTÁ COMPARTIENDO FOTOS."

  1. I was trying to figure out what Fatima meant, as I first thought it mean mother but remember that was Madre in Spanish. I read that these shrines are probably in honor of the "sightings" of Mother Mary in Fatima, Portugal that Catholics used for political purposes after taking the "word" of the witnesses. Ironically Fatima is named after Mohammed's daughter.

"Our Lady of Fátima" is so named because the apparition of the Virgin Mary was reportedly seen by three children in 1917 in the town of Fátima, Portugal, and a Bishop decided in 1930 that it was true and made it official.

  4. Hmmm and yet, the Catholic Church frowns on women with bare arms in church.

I seriously think she was. When I first saw her (before getting my camera in position), her phone was at a a convenient angle for a photo. Then the giggles started.

  6. Well, this reader is no longer young or refined, but I appreciate your discretion also. Now, this guy has nice long legs that cancel out the flat as a pancake behind.
