OUR FRIEND PEDRO baked Pastela Moruna last night, a traditional dish from his home in Córdoba, using a recipe from San Geraldo's cookbook "The New Spanish Table," in which it's called Moorish Chicken and Nut Pie. Topped with a dusting of powdered sugar, it was exquisite.
Kathleen (remember yesterday's sweet post) baked her own creation of Nocilla (a hazelnut and chocolate spread similar to Nutella) and raspberries in a braided puff pastry. (Did you hear us all moan?)
My pal Luke was adorable as always. We are so lucky to have this much sweetness in our lives.

DeleteThey're very good to us. I regularly, but not always, bring a present for Luke. This time, after we left, he came running to the door with a huge smile on his face and yelled to me "Bring me a present!"
