Rose-Colored Glasses / Lentes De Color Rosa

WE'RE STILL FINDING berry juice from yesterday's explosion in the kitchen (previous post). Even in the cats' food dishes 2.5 meters (8 feet) away. (The cats simply ate around it.)

Interesting that I was looking at the world through rose-colored glasses yesterday. The day before, while on my walk, I had this random thought: 'I'm like yesterday's coffee. Cold and bitter.' Now where did that come from?

THOSE AREN'T BLEMISHES. I WAS JUICED.
ESOS NO SON IMPERFECCIONES DE LA PIEL.YO ESTABA ZUMOSADO.

    1. Jim,
I’m really like todays coffee. Rich, full of flavor, and with great body. Groan. Cold and bitter!

  3. Throw a little water in the coffee, add a little sweetener, nuke it, add a little cream, and voila good as new! I hate wasting leftover coffee. That's actually a very good metaphor for down in the dumps days.
I opened my fridge a bit too forcefully and the door shelf flew off. Juice, mayo and refrigerated meds all over the floor. I sympathize completely.

    1. Deedles,
Oh crap. Time for a new fridge? Those coffee instructions sound an awful lot like cooking. Remember who you’re talking to.

    1. Judy,
Glad I didn’t have the baby book in the kitchen... well, or in the hall outside the kitchen!

    1. Anne Marie,
I expect to find traces of dry and crusty juice (get your mind out of the gutter) for months!

  6. That was some juice explosion, and what's wrong with being cold and bitter? I quite like it!

  7. Good thing you had on those glasses when the explosion occurred. How did the juice facial mask work? Are you less bitter now?

    1. Wilma,
Not bitter today, but feeling a bit ripe. Yeah, I was grateful for those glasses.

  8. So you're sticking with that unlikely "strawberry blender explosion" story, are you? Your next post better contain a photo of San Geraldo holding a newspaper showing the current date, that's all I'm saying.
