Our friends' son and daughter-in-law are visiting Fuengirola from England. They brought us a very elegant box of chocolates made by Hotel Chocolat. The selection is called "Exuberantly Fruity."
The description on the label: "17 tangs of real fruit balanced with luscious chocolate." The menu displays luscious-looking chocolates and mouth-watering descriptions.
The box arrived just three days ago, but I can't find any chocolates. How could that have happened?!?
To paraphrase Winston Churchill:
"It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an empty box of chocolates."
Parafraseando a Winston Churchill:
"Es una acertijo envuelto en un misterio dentro de una caja vacía de chocolates."
C'est le grand mystère ;)
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteOui.
"GET INTO MAH BELLEH!" said mitchell to the chocolates. and they complied willingly.
ReplyDeleteDAMN, those looked dee-lish!
anne marie:
DeleteThese are excellent chocolates... I have a vague memory of them; they passed by so quickly.
Good morning Mitchell, well it is afternoon for you! The chocolates look fabulous! They sure would disappear here too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely afternoon.

Robin:
DeleteI don't usually like fruity chocolates. These are exceptional.
If I had a nickel for every time I've been called Exuberantly Fruity.
ReplyDeleteOh wait ... I do.
Bob:
DeleteI do, too... I'd call you Exuberantly Fruity right now, but then I'd have to send you a nickel.
Chocolates evaporate when after the box is open, you must consume them quickly, or they will be gone before you know it.
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteMystery solved! They evaporated! (I had chocolate mousse tonight to compensate for the loss.)
That's a prescription for how to live life -- exuberantly fruity!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteI agree. My friend Lidia, a wine lover, says "Fruit Forward." I'll have to change that to "Exuberantly Fruit-ily(?) Forward"!
Nuff said!
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeleteI'm craving chocolate!
Mmm chocolates!!
ReplyDeleteRon:
DeleteAnd since these were all fruit-infused, they counted as 17 servings of fruit!
I am in total agreement!
DeleteGlad folks know how to treat you right! That was great gift. Probably a good thing that it is not automatically refilled, eh?
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI wonder if I should have given them the empty box.
I guess they assumed you tow needed to be more exuberantly fruity?
ReplyDeletemistress maddie:
DeleteWell, I think we're probably the most exuberantly fruity people they've ever met.
Nothing is as sad or inevitable as an empty box of chocolates.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteThat is very profound.
Once you go exuberantly fruity, you never go back.
ReplyDeleteMichelle:
DeleteTell me about it!
You deserve a second box, Mitch!
ReplyDeleteJan:
DeleteI KNOW!!!
