ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for the thanks!! I love the Dowager Duchess watercolor I now have :)
Judy:
DeleteAw, thanks for the thanks for the thanks! AND... THANKS!!!
my fave pix: #1 (color gradients) and #4 (the sunset).
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteMy faves, too.
Oh my goodness, what endless beauty Mitchell. Your Mom's watercolour is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.

Robin:
DeleteConstantly changing and always appreciated. My mother worked in every medium. Watercolor became her favorite as she got older.
All are lovely!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteAs you can imagine, I have so many more photos AND watercolors!
For some reason those steely greys appeal to me amongst all those great shots. The Dowager Duchess knew how to create beauty - and her son how to recognize it.
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteI do love those greys. Those two were taken in the last few days. Some very strange wintery/windy weather after a week of summer.
Very nice present!! I still can´t figure out how to create art by painting, no matter how many Bob Ross´ shows I´ve watched.
ReplyDeletePetie:
DeleteDo you suppose maybe Bob Ross is the problem?!? (Although my mother loved watching Bob Ross...)
Touché!
DeletePetie:
DeleteYou speak French, too?!? Now you're just showing off.
She had some nice colours in there, I love water colors. I find water so calming, not really the color but movement and noise
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteThe most relaxing sound for me is the sound of the sea. So, we currently live in paradise!
What a cool way to show the different pictures. I do believe the ocean is harkening my name......
ReplyDeletemistress maddie:
DeleteI am so much happier living by the sea. The surf has been high and rough for a few days. The sound even inside the apartment is the best!
Your mother had the necessary light touch with watercolor, which as you know is a very unforgiving medium.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteI have never given much attention to watercolor. My mother loved it and was especially grateful that she was still able to do it with arthritic hands. She just became more free in style.
How beautiful, Mitch, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJan:
DeleteI love to share the things that make me happy. Thanks so much for visiting!
Water, water everywhere. And all so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteIt's a joy to have the same view all the time and yet to have a different view every minute.
A great collection of images! And the DD's watercolor is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteThanks! This was one of her later watercolors, when her hands were arthritic and she had to give up her precision. She still loved it and I love what she created. I'll share more soon.
How on earth to you get anything done when you can stare at the sea all day?
