Ghost Ship / Barco Fantasma
I saw this from the beach Monday. It was a hazy day and an extremely long distance away. The floating item in the foreground was much closer. That's what I was trying to see. I didn't even know there was a ship. I didn't do any special effects. Eerie!
Vi esto desde la playa el lunes. Era un día nebuloso y una foto de larga distancia. El elemento flotante en primer plano estaba mucho más cerca. Eso es lo que estaba tratando de ver. Ni siquiera sabía que había un barco. No hice efectos especiales. ¡Misterioso!

How very interesting Mitchell - these things do happen from time to time.
ReplyDeleteHeron:
DeleteI wish I knew what ship it was (if it was really there!).
Good morning Mitchell, what a wonderful shot! This photo could have been taken 100 years ago, well, beyond the colour anyway.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
Robin
Robin:
DeleteIt was so wild to zoom in and see a ship. The haze made it very mysterious. I'll have to try it in sepia.
What a great shot; and it is rather spooky.
ReplyDeleteBob:
DeleteI should have changed the flag to a Jolly Roger.
I bet it's an old, ghostly pirate ship of yore!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteWell, I still haven't found anyone to tell me what it was... so maybe you're right!
Spectacular image!!
ReplyDeleteYou 'see' things Mitchell.....
Jim:
DeleteFortunately, I have actual proof of this THING I saw.
Did you notice jack aparrow?
ReplyDeleteJohn:
DeleteKevin Kline (The Pirate King).
That ship looks more authentic than many of the so-called "pirate" ships I've seen.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteI do have to find out what it was. I've read that there was some kind of tall ships event just before that day but can find nothing specific.
Definitely a ghost ship.....or the party drinking ships have started up for the tourists but that looks pretty elaborate for that.
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteLet's hope it's not a new kind of party ship. We'd be overrun. I like the idea of Ghost Ship.
I love your ghost ship!
ReplyDeleteJennifer:
DeleteSurprising, isn't it. Just when I thought my walks were becoming routine.
Lovely - can you identify the flag? Laurent and I were trying but couldn't get any details.
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteAll I can get out of it is blue above and red below. No more than that. And that means nothing to me, so far.
I have never seen a ship like that, outside of movies. Did it escape from the Bermuda Triangle?
ReplyDeletemistress maddie:
DeleteWell, I haven't seen it since and I can find no one who knows anything about it.
Seventy-three men sailed up
ReplyDeleteFrom the San Francisco Bay...

DeleteOn their way to a world that others might have missed...
'The Flying Dutchman'? - or even the vessel of 'the Ancient Mariner'? (WooooOOOOOoooooo!)
ReplyDeleteRay:
DeleteThe Ancient Mariner! "There was a ship quoth he..."
