FOR THE FIRST time in my life, I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a blast. I have plenty of photos to share but this one will have to do for now. Another tourist stopped me on the bridge to take a picture of him and he then offered to return the favor. I walked around Lower Manhattan, had lunch at Starbucks (for the free WiFi) and then walked back. It was more than 6 miles round trip and I'd do it again!

Fantastic Mitch!
ReplyDelete6 miles in NYC would be my idea of a perfect day.
Great photo!
Cheers!

DeleteThe bridge walk was even more fun than I imagined it would be.
Love that; and is there really any better bridge to walk across?
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe the Golden gate ...
Bob:
DeleteI've never done the Golden Gate either. But I think this was more charming. Jerry doesn't like heights. He tried to walk across the Golden Gate. He was very proud at how far he got before panicking and turning back until he realized he was still over land the entire time.
I've never walked on a bridge that big, I get a little freaked out on smaller ones with traffic
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteI think even Jerry would enjoy this. Your in the center of the bridge, so no big drop-off. The path is broad (that photo was taken at one of the narrow spots) and it's in the center of the bridge between the traffic below. I recommend it!
What fun! Did you break into song on your walk across the bridge?
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteYes. I break into song for any reason. Sometimes I have to remind myself to sing in my head and not aloud.
Sounds like a lovely walk Mitchell! So glad you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Robin
Robin:
DeleteSo glad I finally did it. I would love to do it again.

ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteSo much fun. 100? I'm not so sure I want to.
That's why you can say, "More pancakes, please!"
ReplyDeleteHope you're all really enjoying the visit!

Judy:
DeleteAnd I was having so much stomach trouble that I ended up losing weight on the trip. Have changed my diet completely. Haven't had dessert in more than a week!
That is a very good photo of you.
ReplyDeleteLaurent:
DeleteThanks. I like it. To that point, all I had were two selfies.
Excellent photo, and I'd love an opportunity to walk across that bridge.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteYou won't be disappointed.
You look marvelous!
ReplyDeletePS I am begininng to read your Spanish posts with more understanding.
Spo:
DeleteUh oh, that means your Spanish is becoming as bad as mine!
Slim and gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteUntil I read the story, I assumed Jerry took the photo. *snigger* (Sorry Jerry)
Rozzie:
DeleteJerry read your comment and sniggered, too.
Bravo! I've always wanted to do that.
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
