I'VE BEEN UNDER the weather for a few days. Digestive problems (that's all you're getting from me... that info, not the problems). Body aches. A low fever. After I spent all day and night Thursday either in bed or in the bathroom (OK, you got a little more), San Geraldo went to the pharmacy and got me something for the digestion issues. It worked like a charm. Then it was paracetamol (acetominophen) and back to bed — all day Friday. I needed to take another pill Saturday morning, but the body aches are gone. Went out for coffee, which may not have been the best idea. But I missed my coffee. Spent much of Saturday in bed and I'm hoping Sunday is a hell of a lot better!
At least Dudo has been happy.
HE ESTADO ENFERMO por unos días.
FIVE MINUTES OF PETTING IN THIS POSITION (NO, HE WAS NOT PLEASED I STOPPED FOR A PHOTO)... CINCO MINUTOS DE ACARICIAR EN ESTA POSICIÓN. (NO, ÉL NO ESTABA FELIZ DEJÉ DE ACARICIAR PARA HACER UNA FOTO.) |
...AND THEN CONTENT FOR HOURS. WHO CARES IF I'M COMFORTABLE?!? ... Y LUEGO, FELIZ POR HORAS. ¿¡¿A QUIÉN LE IMPORTA SI ESTOY CÓMODO?!? |
Now listen to your......CAT!! He does know what is best, you know (for him!!!lol)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a bit of the flu bug, Mitch. I hope you are better soon.
Jim:
DeleteDoing much better, Jim. Thanks. Dudo will NOT be pleased.
Cat therapy is most salubrious for problems of digestion.
ReplyDeleteI was fascinated to know the Spanish translation for yada yada yada is blah x 3
Spo:
DeleteFor all I know, some people may even use and understand yada yada yada... Seinfeld fans.
Ohhh, I hope you feel great again soon!
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteDoing much better. Thanks! Not yet great, but getting there I think.
get well soon; dudo will help you! is he between your legs or on your chest?
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteI was on my side and he was between my knees in his comforter nest.
Animals are sensitive to when their humans are ill, Buddy does that too. I hope you feel better soon
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteI'm not quite sure Dudo is as sensitive to my illness as he is aware of the fact that I'm available as a bed.
I knew my dog could tell when we were sick. I hope you feel better
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteI can't tell if our cats are as sensitive to our illnesses as dogs would be. I think they're just happy we're lounging more... their favorite thing to do.
At least Dudo is happy, and that's what counts. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI've asked him and he says that's all that matters. I'm getting better, which means less time in bed, which means a less happy Dudo.
Oh foolish human - your comfort is no concern of anyone other than yourself!
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteExactly!
Sorry to hear you're under the weather. Fortunately, you have San Geraldo to give you TLC.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteAnd he is so good at TLC.
Get well soon, Mitchell.
ReplyDeleteJan:
DeleteThanks so much. I'm getting there.
You and me both my friend! Feel better soon!!
ReplyDeleteJennifer:
DeleteHope you're feeling much better by now. Yours was much worse than mine!
Feel better!
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteThanks. I'm improving quickly. I miss my walks and my exercise... and I've missed the sun!
May Dudo work his magic super-swiftly. (He's already perked me up.) Hope you can get in recovery mode real soon.
ReplyDeleteRay:
DeleteDudo will not be pleased that his magic has worked. He'll expect me to spend the day in bed with him (or as a bed FOR him) today, too.
There is nothing better than a warm purring cat when one is feeling Not Great. :) I hope Dudo put the purr on for you!
ReplyDeleteSnoskred:
DeleteHe did... a bit. But mostly he just used a "snitty" little mew when I stopped petting him. Then he slept.
Rest and this too shall pass. Nice comfort kitty!
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteDoing better and better, but really want to get out and about. Dudo is a wonderful comfort kitty... even if it's all about him.
Oh Mitchel, hope you are back on your feet by now. No fun being sick anytime but especially in the Summer.
ReplyDeleteOur cats always joined me in bed the odd time I was sick. Dudo reminds me so much of our Sam, lovely to see.
Take care.
Robin
Robin:
DeleteNo big deal and I'm already much, much better. The first day, I was up and down too much. Dudo tried, but then would have nothing to do with me. Yesterday was his idea of paradise. Today, he's trying to figure out why I'm not lounging with (FOR) him.
That's one stern-looking nurse, at least until he fell asleep.
ReplyDeleteBob:
DeleteCan you believe that look? Dudo has the most expressive face I've ever seen on a cat. That was pure disgust. "Put the f$%@n camera down and pet me, dammit!"
Kitties and doggies are so attuned when you are ill.
ReplyDeleteHope Saturday turned out to better.
Ron:
DeleteSunday was better. I honestly think all Dudo was attuned to was the fact that I was for some reason much more "available"!
