Wouldn't it have been fun to have a blogger gathering on the bridge. What a mob!

  7. Looks like you had a good day for it. For some reason I'm surprised that so many people were walking it.

I wish the sky had been more clear. Very overcast. The bridge gets mobbed with people most days. That was actually a light day. The right-hand lane is a bike path -- ignored by most pedestrians. Those poor bicyclists!

  8. Crossed the Brooklyn Bridge when I was in Brooklyn for the Jane Austen Society of North America's Annual General Meeting in 2012. Have also walked across the Williamsburg Bridge with a friend who lives in W'burg (direct connection to Chinatown!). Thanks for the memories.

That's not one of my memories from that day. I must have gotten used to it by then.

  13. So much in our backyard we never take the time to see. We lived in Connecticut for a lifetime...only a few years ago we walked the greenway along the Hudson and I toured Central Park for the first time. Have seen, but never visited the Statue. So much in NYC I've never visited. And now we're in the dessert, so many miles away.

I've never walked the greenway along the Hudson, although I've been all around there. It is amazing the places we don't see nearby. You need to be a tourist.
