International Thanks / Acción De Gracias Internacional

PHOTOS FROM OUR [non]traditional American, Colombian, Spanish Thanksgiving dinner Saturday night at Pedro and Kathleen's with their friends Diego and Nicole. (There were also salad, gnocchi, and pear pie prepared by American Nicole, but my photos were no good.) Before dessert, San Geraldo told how his grandmother and mother always made separate desserts for him without nuts (because he doesn't like them). They were labeled "FOR JERRY" and no one else could touch them. Pedro thought he was spoiled so he labeled all three desserts "NOT FOR JERRY"; he ignored the labels.

Jerry naps at the drop of a hat... and always has. Pedro's tiramisu is out of this world.

Naps don't work so well for me. My worst time of day mood-wise is when I wake up. So if I nap I go through it twice!

When I say chips I mean in the British sense. So I guess we'd call them Plantain French Fries? Even better.

  6. Looks like such a wonderful time! Jerry reminds me of my Dad. You always knew he would be crashed in his chair after a big meal.
    Have a good day.

No traditional Thanksgiving foods, but we still stuffed ourselves.

  8. Great international meal. We always had the traditional post-meal walk so that we would have room for leftovers later in the day, although I'm sure there were naps mixed in somewhere.

Jerry and I had the 10-minute walk to the car before falling into bed. I don't know if that counts.

  9. Looks like a great meal. I really like that last picture. It says a lot about the psychology of cats.
