Magic Mojitos And More / Mojitos Mágicos Y Más

WE WERE BACK at Mesón Salvador last night. They're now promoting special drinks. Last night was Black Mojitos and Piña Coladas. We had Black Mojitos. Bartender David wouldn't tell us what was in the mojitos. He said it was magic. After dinner, David served us special, potent shots (chupitos) at the bar. As usual, San Geraldo had a sip or two of his drink and a sip of his chupito. So, I drank most of two mojitos and two chupitos. On our way home, I imagined myself inside a Christmas tree. More magic?

  1. 3 things to love here: the restaurant, the tree, the moose.

I'm glad you agree... especially the moose.

  2. Sounds like a wild night of debauchery to me.

For better or worse, that's about as debauched as we get around here.

  3. A magical evening for sure. Moose looks like he is set for a long spell of watching.

Moose, unlike Dudo, is easily distracted. He was already turning his interest to me when I snapped the picture.

Apparently there's a large Christmas ball you can walk through outside City Hall. Will have to check it out.

  5. M's eyes look to be aimed at something beyond the 'bird'. Bored with it already, maybe.

The bird had his rapt attention until I knelt down to take a picture. A moment later, he had rolled onto his back for me.

  6. Wow, great lights! The liquor seems to flow freely in spain, good on you for taking the bullet and finishing off those drinks. Waste is a terrible thing

I only drank all 4 because I was thinking of you and how much you would disapprove if it went to waste.

  7. Your lovely bartender is a tease. I will tell you what to do here: make the mojito but stir it a few times with a ballpoint Bic.

  8. I'm with Raybeard, Moose seems to be looking at something else. Be afraid!

He really was focused entirely on the "bird" until he saw me with the camera.

  10. Sounds like a magic evening. J does not drink, so when we are out and someone hands him a drink, I empty mine and trade glasses with him. He sometimes drives home.

I drink a little. Jerry drinks even less. So those nearly 2 mojitos and nearly 2 shots just about did me in. But deliciously.

  11. Two mixed drinks and two shots? Oh, that's magical all right. If I had that, I'd ask for an exorcism from the porcelain priest!

So, you're a lightweight, too, huh? That used to be what I'd drink in the first 10 minutes. Not anymore!
