Thunder And Lightning / Truenos Y Relámpagos.

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

WE HAD A great rainstorm last night. Thunder. Lightning. Winds. We are so grateful for the glass curtain on our terrace.

I'm still not feeling back to myself, so now I'm blaming the weather. I'm supposed to have some tests done. I was supposed to start last week; I figure by the time I get around to it, I'll be completely better. I have at least been improving a little every day.

I'm reminded of My Mother The Dowager Duchess. The last time I spoke with her, just two days before she died, she told me, "I'm just not myself anymore."

She had been saying it for months.

I responded kindly, "Well, maybe this is your 89-year-old self."

She snapped, "Well, I don't like her!"

TUVIMOS UNA GRAN tormenta anoche. Truenos. Relámpagos. Vientos.

Ella espetó, "¡Bueno, no me gusta ella!"

8:00 THIS MORNING / A LAS 8:00 ESTA MAÑANA.

The air is clear today. I'm slowly but surely improving. Did my entire walk yesterday without the need to sit down!

I'm fine, really. Not at my usual energy level and still coughing, but I'm out and about and enjoying myself. Thanks!

  6. That was quite a storm Mitchell. The sunrise this morning was lovely.
I am sorry you are not quite feeling yourself yet. Know that we all think of you each day.
    Take care.

After that sunrise photo, it rained again. But then the day was fresh and beautiful. Me? I'm fresh and beautiful, too.

  7. A beautiful morning after the storm. I bet Dudo and Moose are happy the storm is over. I hope you feel better, being sick sucks!

Moose watched the storm right along with us (although behind us). At the first closely timed thunder and lightning, Dudo headed for the closet and didn't come out until it was over.

So do I. Fresh, clear air. All the dust and dirt washed away. (And spots all over the windows!) I'm improving. Thanks.

  9. You've shown so many pictures of sunny Spain in the past, I just assumed it never rained there.

She could be a charmer, she could be impossible, and she could be very funny. This was one of her funny (and sad) moments.

I'm being melodramatic. I've felt like crap often these past two months, but that happens. I think I was hit with a virus in August and we immediately headed to New York. No rest for the weary. Still getting over it. But I walked 4.5 miles yesterday without the need to sit on a bench mid-way! Besides, I still look like I'm 25 (if I close my eyes).

Thanks so much. I really liked these photos, too. My mother once did an impressionist painting of a street scene in the rain. Number 4 reminded me of that painting. I'll have to see if I have a photo of it.

Every time there's a storm we say how grateful we are to have installed the glass curtain. It has changed life here and has extended our apartment year-round by 30 square meters.
