Falling-Down Sober / Cayendo No Barracho

I DRINK. NOT much, but I do enjoy a drink. San Geraldo drinks, but very little. So, it was quite a surprise when he appeared to be falling down drunk the other night when we were leaving our favorite restaurant (as I've mentioned before) Mesón Salvador. The reason? Three of the staff, Alejandro, Sergio, and David were giving San Geraldo gigantic, sincere, warm hugs good-bye. Sergio, being shorter than the other two, pulled a chair over, climbed up, and jumped into San Geraldo's arms. San Geraldo pretended to fall down from the surprise weight, but then almost did. Fortunately, he was in good hands.

YO BEBO.

MY ZUMBRAL (SWEET SHERRY).
MI ZUMBRAL (VINO DULCE).
COD, ROSEMARY, AND VEGETABLES.
BACALAO AL AROMA DE ROMERO CON VERDURAS.
CALLED A REVUELTO, IT'S LIKE A SPANISH SCRAMBLE ... BUT VERY DIFFERENT FROM A SCRAMBLE.. AND SO MUCH BETTER.
REVUELTO DE MESÓN.
I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS, BUT IT WAS SO GOOD!
NO PUEDO RECORDER LO QUE ERA, PERO ¡INCREÍBLE!
TIRAMISU CAKE. AS THEY SAY HERE IN SPAIN (THEY SAY IT IN ENGLISH), "OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"
TARTA DE TIRAMISU. COME SE DICE AQUÍ, "OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!"
DAVID.
MY PIONONO (I DRANK SAN GERALDO'S, TOO). LIKE BAILEY'S IRISH CREAM, ONLY MUCH BETTER.
MI PIONONO (BEBÍ EL CHUPITO DE SAN GERALDO TAMBIÉN). COMO BAILEY'S, PERO MUCHO MEJOR.

  3. At least everybody looks like they're enjoying themselves. If he had really been drunk, maybe it wouldn't have been as funny.

  4. He was overbalanced by his giant man purse. (That could be giant-man purse or giant man-purse, your choice.)

I love the fact that here it's not called a man-bag or man-purse. It's just a bag or handbag like any other. Most men have them and many even have what look like clutches. In the States, we still get those looks. Anyway, that bolso DOES often weigh a ton. All that change he doesn't like to use because it's too much work.
