Van Gogh's Ear, Conspiracy Theory / Teoría De Conspiración De La Oreja de Van Gogh

La versión español está depsués de la versión inglés.

I LIKE MYSELF without the beard (click here) — for now. But I don't like having to shave every day. So I figured out that I can give myself a clean shave as little as once a week as long as I buzz-cut my beard every day or two and shave around the edges to give it shape every two or three days. Today was a buzz-cut day and I caught my left earlobe in the corner of the my electric beard trimmer. I didn't know that was even possible! I checked for blood but at first only found a small piece of detached earlobe. Fortunately, it seems that earlobes repair themselves quickly.

I wonder if Vincent Van Gogh's problem was simply one big misunderstanding.

EIGHT HOURS LATER. MIRACULOUS.
OCHO HORAS DESPUÉS. ¡MILAGROSO!
WITH BEARD AND WITHOUT. WAS IT ONLY A SHAVING ACCIDENT AFTERALL?
CON BARBA Y SIN BARBA. ?DESPUÉS DE TODO, SÓLO FUE UN ACCIDENTE DE AFEITADO?

  1. Yep - intact ear when bearded and no beard after the shave. I think you are on to something! Or maybe on something. Hard to tell.

  2. Good theory! May be accurate.
I only shave once a week ......maybe twice depending if I can stand looking at myself bearded! lol
The scruff look is still fashionable....isn't it?

I love the scruff look but in my case it's the excessive-compulsive-scruff. Stubble but neatly trimmed around the edges.

  3. I hope you gave the small piece of detached earlobe to San Geraldo as proof of your obsessive love for him.

Yeah, which also gave him the dry heaves.

I like the shadow but I don't like the unshaved neck. So I compromise.

When I worked, I shaved every day (even if I had a beard, I shaved around the edges every day).

  6. Yeah, I have to shave my face hair two to three times a week. It's growing in white. It's kind of disconcerting considering I'm female and all. Never in my sixty-two years have I ever had to shave my legs, though. It's a good thing, Mitchell my man, that you don't use a straight razor. You might not have stopped at the lobe!

When I was 15, I decided to shave my sideburns with a double-edged razor. No one told me you don't slide sideways!

  8. I shave when I have to go in to work, but when I can work from home, or have a day or weekend off, i avoid the razor.

When I was working from home, I made a point of shaving every day just to keep myself in "work mode."
