A FEW YEARS ago I wrote about the "snack table" in San Geraldo's office. Just follow along and you'll understand. A new snack table was delivered yesterday afternoon. The label on the box reads "Tritaradura de Papel," which I guess means "Snack Table" in Spanish — although the literal translation would be "paper shredder."
I realized the old snack table was broken because San Geraldo had been leaving his dishes on the bed beside his desk. (Give me strength!) Now that he's got a new snack table, maybe he can use the old one as a real paper shredder.
THE OLD SNACK TABLE. LA VIEJA MESA DE LA MERIENDA. |
NOW, ROOM FOR A LARGE DINNER PLATE. AHORA, ESPACIO PARA UN PLATO GRANDE DE CENA. |
And think, if he ate on paper plates, he could have just ran them through the shedder.

DeleteI once wrote a post about the fact that I found his 2nd-grade report card and the teacher commented that he kept a very messy desk!
Reminds me of a clothes rack I had once . . . oh, I mean, an exercise bicycle.
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteWe had one of those. And a NordicTrack clothes rack and a treadmill clothes rack. Jerry NEEDED each and every one.
I've never had a table devoted to snacks.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteFor Jerry, everything is devoted to snacks.
Why am I RELATING TO THIS SO EASILY!! lol
ReplyDeleteLuckily SG keeps his 'snack's paraphenalia' in just one room!!
Jim:
DeleteWho said anything about one room. Luckily he spends most of his time snacking in there.
To think I've been using those things wrong all these years
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteHe's gotten classy. You can see all the paper for shredding in a basket next to the snack table. He used to toss it on the floor.
Our snack tables - didn't we call them TV tables back in the day?? - contain a laptop, a backup drive, several books - make that many books, papers, files, bills, calendars, folders and a glass.. no snacks...
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteThat sounds like a desk. You need Jerry to teach you about snack tables.
Wherever I put the snack is the snack table--even if it's just balanced on my knee.
ReplyDeleteKirk, meet Jerry! Jerry, meet Kirk!
